Re: Will the Redskins really take the best player available?
I think drafting Crabtree would be a big mistake . Many WR's put up numbers like he did in a passing style offences and do nothing in the NFL < Spurries Fla. Wr's come to mind >. Besides , unless we upgrade the OL , we can't get the ball to our WR's . I hope like hell that a DE or T is the choice at 13 < or trade down > . I would take J.Perry / Mack or Rey M. before wr . Now , if Harvin fell into rd 2 and we traded down , I could live with that ,,,,,, but ,,,,,,, draft ,,,,, OL ,,, DL ,,,, OL ,,,,, DL ,,,, LB

Wow Beannie and Portis one two punch, that really makes you wonder how that would work, saying he's the best available. I believe we should take the best available at a position of need, and someone that will impact the game Percy or Beannie would do that, but not Percy at 13..that would help the 12 points a game I think..

So long as it's not a kicker. lol. Putting some thought to it. We picked up Dockery. That alone has helped one side of the line. I would like to see us pick up a decent sized Center, G, and RT. Even if they don't make it to be a starter right away atleast we are getting younger. Then I thought ....well our O-line played lights out the first half of the yr. Our problems came with injuries. If we can build through the draft or FA and keep the injuries to a minimum we should do well the whole yr. So having said that I think our O-line is not as bad as some believe and if they were to have a WR, RB, CB, DT, fall to us I think you take him. So long as they are of exceptional talent. I can't see us picking a TE simply cause he's BPA..we already have Cooley and supposedly someone of similar talent in Davis. |

Unless, of course, you can't find a suitable trade partner. In other words, you wouldn't just trade down to trade down. It has to make sense, and you have to get what you think is good value picks out of your first rounder...or you take the BPA.
