Well Gibbs said Kenyatta had a "fat ankle" so Ray Brown had been working with the first team all week and the staff decided to just ahead and start Brown

Well, You can't blame Ramsey's throws on the o-line. They just were thrown in the wrong place, full stop. ANd the one to the corner of the endzone, he had some pressure maybe, but come on. He can't loft it up there. As for Brunnell, the fumble came on a pressure, but the INT was on a screen. He had to get it over the lineman, and we had a good gain. How is that the O-line's fault? And Portis? He doesn't fumble often. What's up with that???? One was diving over a pile and getting hit with a hemet, the other he just got stripped. Again, not sure why it's the o-line's fault either time. I'm not saying that they played great, but I put the TOs squarely on our skill players. Brunell and Portis gave NY their points, and Ramsey sealed the game.

Defense still looks good. Although M. Bowen was beaten deep, on a play he was the safety over the top. That is unexcusable. The receiver ran past him like he was standing still. This has always been his weakness.
Offense was making one mistake after another. Ramsey shows she still not ready to take over at QB. Two of the three interceptions were pathetic. He still holds the ball too long and takes to many sacks. He still makes the rookie mistakes, but he is no longer a rookie. For every good play he makes, he makes three bad one's. Brunnell might be have problems with the long ball, but he keeps the team in the games. Ramsey needs to improve before we hand him the starting position. Our kick returner (i forget his name) had a good game. Salavea and Griffen are playing great. |

I don't know what I hated more.
The fumbles. The interceptions. The not caught clutch passes. The penalties near the goal line. The no pressure on the QB except when we blitz. what a game. |

Just got back from the game. My first observations are like some of yours. The Redskins first drive was right on the money. The ground attack opened it up for the TD pass. What happened to that play in the second half or even when we were on the five yard line before Ramsey threw his first INT? The offensive plays (the reverse) looked sloppy and poorly executed. Coach Gibbs has to allow the QB to set up in the shotgun. The NFC defenses are going to blitz as much as we do. Sean Taylor looked lethargic. He was running around from side to side and not really making the key tackles. Ledell Betts must get the ball more often! Darnerian McCants needs to be activated and given a chance to contribute. I don't know about you, but Gardner has a serious problem holding on to catches. Lastly, the Giants aren't a threat to anyone in the NFL. Any team that can not score more points than 20 after 7 turnovers is weak.

hmmmmmmmm....."fat ankle" huh. Thanks for the info. He had to play someone with experience with Brown rather than throwing the rookie Wilson into the fire. Couldn't afford to do that with the Redskins behind in the game............. |

Oh, one thing. I wouldn't worry too much about Clinton Portis fumbling in the future, just put him at the wideout and take Gardner's job. Brunell and Ramsey have to really get a check up the neck up. Talk about stinking up the place. I can't recall in the history of being a Skins fan turning the ball over that many times.

Chad Morton did so well today, that James Thrash was brought in just to congradulate him. I mean damn, can we get a good return without a penalty.

Coles had 100 yards, it wasn't all bad, however......
I don't want to sit through another Dallas win next Monday Night. Get it sorted out. |

My disgusted impressions of the game..
Brunell, get rid of the ball faster, if the Giants' DBs could catch you could tack 2-3 more turnovers onto the total.. Speaking of turnovers, 7?!?!??! Good God they were bad today.. OL didn't show up at all, I think they came in overconfident after TB.. Ramsey needs to learn it's ok to throw the ball away, that last INT was simply amatuerish.. If it's not there, drill the guy in the neon vest.. I'm not going to get down on Portis, just a bad day.. Gardner needs to be demoted, I'd rather see what Taylor Jacobs can do.. There's a reason that Gardner's nickname on the team is 50/50.. Williams punked out a little bit by not blitzing more in the 4th quarter, but I was still happy with the performance of the defense. All in all, 7 turnovers, numerous drops and sacks and we were still in position to take the lead 3 times in the 4th quarter I can just hope we get to the point that we don't beat ourselves.. |

Amen, Paintrain. I mean how many mistakes can veterans of this game make? Either they don't understand the plays their running or are simply incapable of executing these plays. You better believe Coach Gibbs will be up all night reviewing tapes of this game. This game will be the model for what not to do on offense. We will rebound against the Cowboys.
