Take it to the bank!
AND if he can stay healthy, he and Wynn might kick some ass

Re: Daniels agrees to 1 year vet min deal
I like those qualifiers. If he stays healthy, he and wynn might kick some ass. So if he's healthy(he's old), he and another player(also old), might combine to kick someone's ass(the trainer maybe).
All joking aside. If you've got the room, for the money, it's a good deal for us to have these two at the price we've got them. Especially knowing the system in and out, and with Blache's insistence on rotation. |

Re: Daniels agrees to 1 year vet min deal
More ammo leading towards drafting a LB in the 1st round. I doubt they would have signed 2 DE within the last 2 weeks and Cerrato going on the Doc show saying that Heyer is their RT and then using a #1 pick on one of those positions.
All that being said, we could certainly do worse on 1st and 2nd down.

Re: Daniels agrees to 1 year vet min deal
They (Wynn, Daniels and Heyer) are on the roster as cheap insurance/backup plan.
If the FO decides to keep this pick and use it, it might end up being something completely unexpected. It seems most likely all of the DE's, OT's and OLB's that are worth the 13th pick value or above will be gone. However there might be some very talented value RB's (Portis is getting old) and QB's (plan B if Campbell fails) that might tempt our FO to use the pick. |

I like the signing for run support, but I would like to see a pass rushing specialist added to increase the effect of Haynesworth..

I want to see them draft a couple of players after trading down but knowing the history of the club this may be the thinking. |

With Dainels signed our 13th pick shifts to the O-line (Smith, Oher). If Dainels stays healthy I think he can still be productive, and generate some pass rush.

Re: Daniels agrees to 1 year vet min deal
I would be happy for them to trade down(assuming Oher/Smith are gone) but please no qb's....

As long as they get someone that will a strong player that contributes and becomes great, that is all I want in a Draft pick. I would be happy with a great RB....what if Chris Wells is still there? Ahhh to have a big RB in DC again...crank up the Diesel. I also like Knowshon Moreno, I think he will be a good NFL back. I do not care about his 40 time. Emmit Smith also ran a 4.60 in the 40. |

And if he is, that'd be soooo tempting. I'm a big fan...but I think it's going to be a lot easier (and less dramatic) to draft Portis' eventual replacement later in the draft. And I think even in the 3rd round, we may find a solid RB. We could even find an LB later. But at 13th overall, my top choice remains Oher. I'm not much for hyperbole but I think he could be a top 3 OT in the NFL within the next 3 years and one of the best Redskins linemen ever.

Maybe the Redskins will take a punter with the 13th pick.
