Mc Paul Barman oh wait....
Its hard for me to find BANDS that I like, I generally find songs that have similar music qualities and stick to those. Pandora Radio - Listen to Free Internet Radio, Find New Music is great for finding new music and its free!

Re: Any New Music Selections?
Yo, I was about to suggest this... these two dudes kick butt. Also have to co-sign on Rob's shout to the new Raconteurs album.
I'm also rotating in: The Scanners Gram Rabbit New EPMD joint J-Live New MF Doom Classic Punk (Minor Threat, Vandals) Just popped Gza's "Liquid Swords" back into my Ipod (I think I've listened to the album over 100 times and I'm still not sick of it). |

J-Live is one of my favorites. If anyone here is into conscious hip-hop, sick flow, or just great poetic wordplay -- he's your man. Did you know he was/is an English teacher?

Re: Any New Music Selections?
I downloaded the new Mastodon last night and have been listening to it all day, definitely a killer album. Can't wait to crank this sucker in the car on my way home later.

Yo Matty, I had to throw this out there for you. And any other fans of the Three One One on this site. New album out June 2nd. Talk about a good album, anytime these guys put one out it never disappoints. So consistently good.
Crank the volume up for this one, and the bass while you're at it. Hey You

Re: Any New Music Selections?
Can't get into much modern rock unfortunately, well not much modern in any genre. Rock is overly populated by screamo teenybopper shit, rap is still in its bling era (even true hiphop hasn't put out a lot lately, though I've been a bit out of the scene)
maybe try bishop allen, I haven't listened to much, but it's easy to kinda get into YouTube - Bishop allen - Rain YouTube - "Click, Click, Click, Click" by Bishop Allen a lot of my friends like dinosaur jr but i wouldn't know what to recommend by them, I think the song that I liked by them was called "crumble" .. if so here: YouTube - Dinosaur Jr. --- Crumble --- Norwegian Wood 6-12-08 I really really dig feist and am finally coming around to liking more female vocalists like cat power: YouTube - Cat Power - The Greatest on Jools Holland I'm a big O.A.R. fan (those of you from MD should know who they are) and my boy just hit me up with a band in the same type of feel called umphrey's mcgee (no clue), not the newest, but new to me YouTube - Umphrey's McGee - Plunger - 11/3/2006 (might need to ff a bit till they come in) YouTube - Umphrey's McGee - Glory - 11/3/2006 (instrumental but nice) once again not new but SOJA (souljas of jah army).. reggae, love them YouTube - Soldiers of Jah Army (SOJA) - You Don't Know Me anyways, a lot of this isn't what I listen to normally, but didn't know much how to direct you |

New 311 sounds really good...
I've been a fan since I was 10. I'm mildly obsessed.
