Re: Movies that make you cry?
Man on Fire was great and yes sad at the end. I was fighting the tears back.
Forrest Gump at the end...wow. Marley and Me is on my Blockbuster queue next. My wife has told me i'll be bawling like a baby since we have a lab that has been together w/ us for our 7 years. I will be crying. |

Re: Movies that make you cry?
Last time was when I was watching a history channel show about WWII and they were interviewing concentration camp survivors. They had mixed in some footage from when they were liberated. Thought of what those people had to endure got me pretty choked up.

Schindler's List when they seperate the kids from the parents, and as they are carting off the parents the kids are waving, totally oblivious to what's going on... just kills me.

Couldn't stop balling from laughter whilst watching the first Meet the Parents.

We watched a couple of Hollywood movies (The Grey Zone and The Pianist) as well as a bunch of interviews with survivors and to say they were moving is a huge understatement.

Re: Movies that make you cry?
Man.....I saw Schindlers list when it came out.........I would NOT want to watch that again-POWERFUL movie.
My mom has some friends from the Netherlands, who now live in the states. Recently, a reunion was paid for (all travel, lodging, etc) and held by the Jewish survivors of WWII that numerous families from the Netherlands "hid" from the Nazi's. My mom's friends (who were children at the time) were from two of the many families involved in the effort to save the refugee's. Naturally, the effort put all of them at great risk (and their families) and sometimes cost their lives for helping. I asked them how it went. Both of them got teary eyed and said they could not describe it. I can only imagine........

Am I the only person who didn't shed a tear for the little squeaky shoe that got dipped in Who Framed Roger Rabbit?!

Coach Boone's speech at the cemetery in Gettysburg in Remember the Titans
I don't care if you like each other or not. But you will respect each other. And maybe -- I don't know -- maybe we'll learn to play this game like men.
