I hope Hey-Bay does will too. I'm hoping Light-Out will be back to himself in San Diego

Nice thread.

Chiefs-
I wonder what their offense will look like with Cassel instead of Thigpen, they have the same OC in Chan Gailey who did what i thought was the most impressive job of coaching by implementing the college spread offense with a 3rd string QB
i loved watching the Chiefs the second half of the season, imo they had the most exciting offense in the NFL

*Plus Haley seems to work wonders with his receivers Terrel Owens, Boldin, Fitz

Bengals-
Does Marvin Lewis finally have the peices to field a good defense?
Will Rey Maualuga make teams pay for passing on him?
Will Carson Palmer and Chad Johnson bounce back from their injuries?

Cowboys-
Do they really think they'll be better w/o TO i don't

Jets-
Will Rex Ryan be able to turn the Jets into the Raven's North?

Bears-
Will Cutler be able to come in and light it up w/o receivers as talented as Marshall and Royal?

Vikings-
I think Brad Childress is a weak HC the way he caved in to pressure and benched Tavaris Jackson was pathetic.
Will T-Jack be able to take command of that team or does he get beat out by Sage Rosenfels or does the team do the unthinkable and go after Favre?

Broncos-
I want them to fail, worse then i want the Cowboys to fail.
McDaniels is far too smug for a rookie HC and i think some hard lessons are in store for that one

Raiders-
I hope they don't ruin a good kid in Darius Hey-Bey-Bey

I agree with many others, but one team I havent seen mentioned -- the Bills. I'm curious to see what Buffalo does.

The Redskins first and foremost, but I'm also interested in:
The Browns- Gotta keep an eye on my boy Alex Mack.
The Bengals- Only to see how Maualuga does.
The Colts- Always liked the Colts and want to see how the coaching transition goes.
The Jets- Don't really like the Jets but interested in how they play with Ryan in charge.
The Lions- I want to see if they can turn this thing around.
The Texans- I think they may become a really good team before long.
And of course I'm always interested in our NFC East rivals.

I forgot to put the Browns on my list.

My sister just moved to Beechwood last week which turns out only to be 20 minutes away from Cleveland.

I can be the good brother and go visit her and catch Browns training camp or a pres-season game to watch Brian Robiskie:

the steal of the draft

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if he had the biggest impact of all the rookie receivers this year.

I would say watch out for the jets in the next couple years! they could come out of know-where and become like the patriots.

Also watch out for the bills! TO plus trent edwards could be nasty!!

Obviously our home teams first and then I think we all look at everyone in the NFL east but after that in this order............

1) New England.............will Brady be back?

2) The Jets,.................Sanchez ,is he for real?

They got two steals at WR imo. Brian Robiskie and Mohamed Massaquoi both are WRs with alot of talent.

I dont like the Browns team this year but they did have a very nice draft. Alex Mack in the 1st round after the trade downs was very nice also. He should be a Pro Bowler for years.

Besides Skins, the Falcons. It's Sophomore year for Ryan and now he has the greatest TE of all time, Gonzo to throw to not to mention roddy white, Michael turner, and a formidable defense. They are ripe with young talent, I want to see if Ryan can hold it together which he certainly looks capable of.

Re: What NFL teams do you have your eye on this year?

Outside of the Redskins, of course:
-Bills should be very interesting to watch. I think with Owens and Evans they have the best WR tandem outside of Arizona. They are implementing a no huddle up tempo offense so they could either be fun to watch or a complete disaster.

-Titans have some compelling stories as well. How will the defense deal with no Haynesworth? What are they going to do on offense with Vince Young? He's reaching a point in his contract where he's show or go. This point last year he was the face of the franchise and now is a back-up to Kerry Collins. At the first signs of struggle do we see a change?

Saints-Are they ready to become a complete team or yet another one dimensional 'show' like last year? They're exciting to watch but must be infuriating to root for because you know they're going to give up all that they get.

Cowboys-I think they've got 7-9, 8-8 and a major shakeup written all over them. How is Roy Williams going to respond to being 'the guy' in the passing game. Will their young secondary step up or struggle? Phillips is the most obvious lame duck coach in the league, how will the team react at the first signs of adversity. Jones has put a lot of faith and praise in Jason Garrett whose star got tarnished last year. How is he going to perform this year and how patient will Jones be with him if they struggle?

Eagles-No team received more praise in the national media than the Eagles for their offseason and whether they live up to that level of praise should be interesting to see. Going into December last year they were 6-5-1 with questions about McNabb's future, Reid's future, seemed old, slow and out of sorts. They went on a nice run to end the season and in the playoffs so is all well now or was that one last hot hurrah?

Re: What NFL teams do you have your eye on this year?

Gotta be the Colts... and particularlyl the offensive unit.

Peyton Manning is a great QB; anyone who wants to debate that hasn't been paying attention for the last 8 years or so. This season, he will have to adjust - - for the first time - - to a new head coach, a new offensive coordinator and a new offensive line coach all at the same time. (The team has other coaching changes; these are the ones that directly affect Peyton Manning.)

In addition, he probably will not have his long-term running buddy, Marvin Harrison, on the team let alone on the field.

I think it will be fascinating to watch the way Manning and the Colts' offense changes and how it stays the same over the 2009 season.

Re: What NFL teams do you have your eye on this year?

Hmmm...

Aside from us the Saints are my next biggest interest. Probably won't see Williams turn the defense around in one year but they should be much improved, which basically makes NO an immediate NFC contender cuz that offense is so potent. If Peyton and the crew manages the team well NO should be in the SB within the next few years.

Also the Bengals. Palmer was very good before injury set in and has already started to talk up the season quite a bit. Now Cinci has my favorite defensive player from the draft in Rey-Rey...i would hope Cinci could at least compete in its division now.
