Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
Probably would have preferred a 4th round pick too. But this could set up really well for the future at left defensive end. I don't think Wynn or Daniels (or both) was going to be playing beyond this season.

Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
Yehh a little high of a pick in my opinion, but he should be a solid player in his 2nd season. Atleast we wont be drafting defensive line for the next few yrs.....

Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
From the RI blog based on what that scout said, a 3rd for this guy was expected. Going into it I thought 3rd was too high, but Vinny tends to rate some players much higher than the nfl scouting norm, so I'm not too surprised.
In most years 3rd round has a lot of good players that make teams & start eventually. As was mentioned by several others this is like an advance on the draft, so if he can play this year that's a serious bonus. If he can play next year it's still a bonus. |

Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
Well we do know that he'll make the team. All of Godfather Vinnie's picks make the team. I don't know anything about this guy but hey if he is 2nd round talent, great. It is a need for our team.

Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
from reading up on jarmon some it seems we and the eagles were the 2 most interested teams. we pick ahead of the eagles in the supplemental so we probably thought we had to use our 3rd b/c the eagles would offer their 3rd.
read that he can play DT or DE with his mix of size and speed. jarmon was the only player selected in the supplemental draft. go skins!!

Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
The guy obviously has some talent. Hopefully it works out well for us and he can eventually take over left end as CRedskinRule suggested. If not, let's trade him to the Dolphins for a second round pick.

Wynn is done anyway, and buzbee is a bumb! This kid might be something you never know, plus he will come in and bust it because he won't have another chance in the league if the skins don't keep him.

Re: Redskins Select Jarmon in 3rd Round of Supplemental Draft
For a 3rd rounder this kid better not only make the team but he better be ready to contribute right away. Anyone have any idea of where he would have gone had he gone into the regular draft?
