Re: Eli Manning's 6-Year, $97.5 Million Extension One of NFL's Biggest Deals
I wonder if they knew 2 years ago what they know now, would they have traded Shockey away? Witout Pax Shockey might have come in handy.

Off the top of my head: Manning Brady Roethlisberger Rivers Warner McNabb Palmer Brees JC And those are just the ones I'd DEFINITELY take. I'd probably take Ryan, Hasselbeck, Cutler and maybe another few others too. |

Campbell and Eli have comparable career numbers- but I wonder how Jason would have done last year with a 6'5" stud receiver, the best O-line in football, and three RBs in the neighborhood of 1,000 yards rushing? Methinks a tad better than 8-8. Just saying.

Can't really compare McNabb and Manning. McNabb has won playoffs games with mediocre receivers/TE whereas Manning has had Plax, Toomer, Shockey, etc. Put Manning on a team with a so-so oline and receivers and he would be an average(maybe even below average) QB. He wouldn't be that so called clutch QB. Manning is an average QB who is on a great team. You could Alex Smith on the Giants and he would look like an Hall of Famer. How does Manning and McNabb stats look with Plax being gone?? |

Re: Eli Manning's 6-Year, $97.5 Million Extension One of NFL's Biggest Deals
Looking at the box scores from last year, the 67 yard pass to Moss in the New Orleans game came with 3:29 to play in the 4th. In the St. Louis game the Skins scored on a 9 play, 73 yard drive with 4:31 to play to go up 17-12 before the defense pissed it away on a game ending field goal. And against San Francisco the Skins scored to tie with 1:15 left before the defense again snatched defeat from the jaws of victory (or at least overtime).

My point isn't to take anything away from Donovan McNabb, I think he'll end up in the Hall one day too, perhaps. But right here and now, with five minutes to go in a ball game, I don't think there is a huge difference between him and Eli Manning. I just don't. |

Reese said this about Manning, I hope Snyder is giving a similar press conference next February

JC may not get paid like Manning but if he has a good year this year JC will get paid well, too.

I'd love to know how much the Manning family has made off football. You take the contracts, endorsements, comercials, and everthing else they do to make money it a boat load.
