Re: NFL: Sound EFX a QB's Tutelage
Seriously. Someone should have popped Jackson for getting too close the Zorn Zorn was right about the roughing the passer call. Bad call. Glad to see Jarmon getting some time.

Re: NFL: Sound EFX a QB's Tutelage
Zorn was semi-joking with Jackson. He pulled off some good runs and Zorn was like hey you are good but no need to run all over me.
A pretty cool video. I dont know what play they are talking aobut that would have been a TD to Moss. The protection just brokedown though...anyone have an idea?

Re: NFL: Sound EFX a QB's Tutelage
Despite Horton making plays, he still really struggles in coverage. In the long run that still hurts us. I hope he steadily improves.
Doughty is much better and consistent in coverage. Horton is great in run support and the short stuff.

Re: NFL: Sound EFX a QB's Tutelage
Loved it. I'm with SS, the whole "I'm gonna run it 'cause we can't hold onto it" comment was very telling. Somebody here (not me) was saying that Zorn doesn't trust the passing game in the red zone. It seems like that was exactly the case.

Re: NFL: Sound EFX a QB's Tutelage
I think Z trusts the passing game and JC but the drops were killing him. Perhaps he still has a leash on JC.
At some point he needs to just get over it. Zorn isn't an idiot(at least I hope not). He f'ed up and I hope he realizes that running in predictable ways like that, wont work. And drops are drops, they happen. When they do, they seem to come in bunches. Gotta keep trucking and things will improve.

I disagree, Doughty has always been a liability in coverage.

Re: NFL: Sound EFX a QB's Tutelage
It was second half, Montgomery got blow'd up, and Campbell started barking at Heyer. Shows that JC has some fire, I like it!!!

Re: NFL: Sound EFX a QB's Tutelage
As opposed to who? You really think Horton is better in coverage? Coaches play Reed instead of Horton on passing downs when they need more coverage over rush.
Sorry but you are wrong.

Re: NFL: Sound EFX a QB's Tutelage
Quote:
1. Horton caused the fumble by Avery when they were within the ten. If I am not mistaken. I might be wrong. Avery was about to score a first down. Regardless of the specifics. He ended their drive in the "redzone" and gave us the ball back. 2. On the other play I think it was Avery also. He ran step for step with Avery and almost came up with an interception on top of that. IF he had not made that play there was no one to stop the receiver from scoring a TD and we would have lost the game. So a liability in coverage..I dont know about all that. He makes plays when it counts the most. *Avery runs a 4.2 40.

Re: NFL: Sound EFX a QB's Tutelage
I think it sounded more like Zorn wasn't trusting the hands of his receivers and running backs, since they had dropped two potential TDs.

Re: NFL: Sound EFX a QB's Tutelage
The interaction with steve spagnola at the end is great. "It felt like an nfc east game" he said. and then thanked him for going for it at the end. U play to win the game
Anyone who thinks zorn needs to get canned needs to watch this.
