The OC always made sure that Campbell is well aware that whole coaches really believed in him.. When Campbell was confident, he shredded the teams when he was at Auburn.. I guarantee you, Zorn and coaches have shot Campbell's confidence all way the down to the bottom.. I would feel same thing if I was him; and if I was him, I would try to find another team to sign where I would have a chance to compete to be starter during off-season..

But to answer your question, I think it all depends on who's GM and head coach next year..
The sad truth is other teams are not high on JC. I would guess most teams don't want to have to act as cheerleaders to get their QB to perform. Either you are confidant and can lead an offense or your not. In other word I doubt NFL teams want to hold QB's hands all the time and baby them to get them to perform.

But I feel JC is tired of the situation here and is ready to move on to a more stable situation.

I think we need to build the O-line during this seasons draft. Grab both LT and RT, If the Rookie Center we picked up is not good draft another Center. All the rest of the guys are decent Guards. Hopefully some better coach's can get more out our WR's and TE for now. Look to pick up another QB either in draft or FA. We need a SLB and keep Orakpo at DE only.

Maybe we can invite a bunch of non drafted O-lineman to camp this yr and work them all out.

Why is it other teams seem to collect decdent WR's like candy and we can't draft a half decent one?

I'm not busting your balls just wondering if any of their lack of success has more to do with Hixon as I believe or is it that our Scouts suck also at picking WR's.
Kelly can be our No. 2 if he ever can stay healthy. His preseason wasn't a mirage, necessarily, but Kelly hasn't been open in about 4 weeks. He's not right.

There's nothing Hixon can really do with Thomas or Kelly, as they just suck right now. It would be nice if he would get Moss to buy into the offense, and we could get a decent receiver out of him. Randle El is doing fine, so that leaves Marko Mitchell as the Stan Hixon test case. If he goes to hell and does nothing this year, then you can probably conclude that Hixon is creating more problems than he is solving.

As much as I know undrafted WR's are a crap shoot and most likely not good at all it's amazing how this team picks horrible WR's year in and year out. Now not one but two WR's projected to go in the first or second round whome we picked up in the second round appear to be busts yet other WR's taken before and after are thriving with their teams. Go figure.

Hey Gripp? How would you rank our offensive linemen at this point from best to worst?

1) Heyer
2) Rabach
3) Rinehart
4) Montgomery
5) Dockery
6) Mike Williams

Compared to (most of) last year:

1) Kendall
2) Samuels
3) Jansen
4) Heyer
5) Randy Thomas
6) Rabach

Re: Redskins-Chiefs Offensive Review

That might be overrating Rabach and underrating Dockery a bit because of what line yards says, but it's a general idea of where we are at.

Heyer IMO is not a starter in the NFL. He's just not that good at the right side or the left. If LT is his best position then perhaps we should just leave him there now that Samuels is out.

I haven't heard of Kelly's knee being injured. He just can't get open.

And he plays for a team that only managed to score 6 points against the worst Defense in the league. Santana Moss can get open, and he only had 1 reception. Hard to assess anyone's true talent on this team.

I guess I'm agreeing with you. It's hard to assess anyone on this team if the O-line keeps breaking down not giving JC enough time to locate his targets. If JC keeps going through his progressions too quickly. If the WR's are not taught how to get open. etc. etc.

If there's no cap, we can bring up back at backup money, and what we do with that probably depends on who the coach is.

I think it's safe to say that there will be some addition at the Quarterback position before the first game of next year. It could be Jeff Garcia, this year.
Garcia isn't coming here unless there is some kind of injury. There is a reason he keeps bouncing around. But w/out question there will be someone coming here to either be the starter or compete w/ JC for the job. I suggested Kevin Kolb but his contract isn't up yet. If it's not a vet then it will be a rookie.

IMO, a rookie wouldn't make much sense for where we are at, but then again, neither would Cutler/Sanchez/etc.

Best option right now is probably Chad Pennington.

Chad is a good NFL QB and can get the job done. But his shoulder is now on it's 3rd surgery? I think he's going to retire. Interesting to see if Clausen will come out.
