I totally agree, Zorn should be given every opprotunity without looking over his shoulder the rest of the season.... Disfunctional organizations
start looking for coaches while they stilll have one...This is crap, if they arent going to retain him...Fire him right now.....

Why? so he can sit on his sofa at home instead of sitting on the sideline collecting DS's money?

Zorn, Zorn, Zorn....why are we even worried about what Zorn thinks? He's not game planning, he's not calling plays, and he has not gotten this team in a position to play in the post season. The team is 4-9. They are out of contention. I really don't care if the team lost the last 3 games, we are out. The only thing we can do is play spoiler and check out our rookies and see what they can do for next year.

It's not like Zorn has turned this thing around or something. I think we all know Sherm Lewis fixed what Zorn could not.

IMO...Zorn became a lame duck coach when the play calling was stripped away from him....and then the offense under a new play caller suddenly opened up....

Personally, I think the story is misleading. The Redskins and Shanahan have been talking for a while. It didn't just start yesterday

Rooney Rule=Equal Employment Opportunity Every job you apply to has this rule, so therefore same thing goes for the NFL.

Didn't Jim Caldwell have the Indi job handed to him on a plate?

Shouldn't they have had to interview a non-minority candidate?

EEO is Rooney Rule=Affirmative Action. The intent of the rule is designed to obtain a fair and unbiased result, the problem is, there's no safeguard in place to ensure the rule is fairly implemented. If an owners heart is unfair, you can change the rule, make new rules, but rules can't change the heart.

EOE law does NOT mandate that you must interview a minority candidate

I believe in the Rooney Rule and I am glad it extends to GM as well. Question: if we were ALREADY in negotiations with Shannahan..doesn't that mean Dan was doing this BEFORE bruce showed up???? This means he is STILL calling the shots instead of the GM...hmmmmmm

I thought I read somewhere that it was Shanahan who told Snyder (per rumors) that Allen would be a good fit. Plus it all sounds like Allen will for the most part be dealing with contractual stuff vs. player aquasition.

Shanahan was contacted back in Oct. I don't doubt that a deal was arranged in regards to him coming in at the end of the season. Plus the reports are Shanahan is trying to assemble a team of coach's or has been calling around. You don't hear that about Gruden.

Lastly I don't think the Rooney Rule states when a HC is fired that's when the interview process starts and a minority has to be interviewed. It has been reported that Dungy was contacted and he turned down the job. Rooney Rule taken care of.
