I'm not convinced this coaching staff got the maximum from our young receivers for whatever the reasons. There's more to be gained with the continued development of our younger players. |

Re: Add a Veteran WR?
The PATS Logan Mankins is, however like Marshall he would become an RFA for 2 years if there is no new CBA. Would love to grab that guy

Re: Add a Veteran WR?
We do not have a leader in the locker room to help keep Marshall's outspoken personality in check. Plus, I like what we have seen from our 2008 2nd rounders and feel they deserve a legitimate shot. Throw in Moss and Marko (discard EL) and I think we are solid at receiver. Bring in OL, a franchise signal caller, a decent back and some quality depth and we could be respectable again soon!

Re: Add a Veteran WR?
Thank you. I have no problem trading Cooley for picks but NO MORE RECEIVERS. We have Moss, Thomas, Kelly, Cooley, Davis, Yoder... enough weapons for now. We need LINEMEN.

Re: Add a Veteran WR?
Yeah we really don't have a need for a WR. We don't have the best corps in the league but it isn't devoid like a few years ago. Besides we can't get the ball to them since we can't do anything but 3-step drops.

Re: Add a Veteran WR?
How about forgetting about the 2008 season and our OLine issues then. Ive screamed head off about Oline especially last offseason, and I think that area will be address with possibly 3 new starters. BUT Shanny, if hired, is going to want a WR. ARE is gone, so we will have a need to add someone. We can still develop our young guys...please they need some developing b/c so far not that great....Look the whole freakin offense is absolutely horrible..period, they suck dont they? We are going to be changing a whole lot and rightfully so on the offense side of the ball. Yes we will add multiple Olineman, and we do need a RB as well...but I think if Shanny is here and ARE is most likely gone, we have a WR spot and I say add a vet there...we dont have to break the bank, no draft picks...If Marshall is availible for like Cooley or Laron we should listen....

Re: Add a Veteran WR?
If Brandon Marshall becomes available we will get him, especially if Shanahan is here. whether we need him or not is a different story.

Re: Add a Veteran WR?
This is the problem around here. Why do we need a veteran receiver?? We have 3 young talented receivers. LETS DEVELOP OUR TALENT, instead of putting old talent to pasture. With Moss (who personally, I'd get rid of) Thomas, Kelly, Mitchel we have three big talented guys. We can find a 4th and 5th receiver late in the draft or undrafted FA. Plus if, thats a big IF, we keep Cooley and Davis we wouldn't need to have a bunch of receivers.

Re: Add a Veteran WR?
Given that Shanny and Marshall had a major falling out in Denver, Shanny might be the last person in the NFL to bring in Marshall.

Re: Add a Veteran WR?
I dont want TO if were bringing in a new rookie quarterback. I'd consider marshall, who would consequently make Moss more dangerous.

Re: Add a Veteran WR?
There are much better options out there than the ones being mentioned here
I don't think we will or should add a WR but if we do one guy to keep an eye on is Antonio Bryant. Allen likes him.
