No way chad is the quickest reciever in the league, he may be one of the best, but he's not one of the quickest, Champ was burned and now he want's people to think he was out on an island with the quickest WR in the league, bottom line champ was outdone and outmuscled buy Johnson, and that's the Champ we all no, who can't cover a big reciever with any kind of speed ala Toomer, I said it before and I will say it again, Champ is good not great!

Didn't Chump also say Taylor Jacobs was the Redskins best receiver? Looks like all Champ respects is speed.

You guys are fooling yourselves if you think Champ was going to stand there after the game and say 'I got owned'.

Champ is a quiet guy, but he's definitely very confident in his abilities, maybe to the point of being cocky but personally that's what I like to see from a top cornerback.

He did give Johnson his props, I'm not sure what else we can expect from him.

I'd like to see what people would say about Smoot if he got toasted. Will we rip into him the same way? Somehow I doubt it. We may have the chance to see this, after all we do have to face Owens twice and Moss.

There is a difference there Matty, nobody tout's Smoot as being the best corner in the game, and even if Champ is the best corner in the game it's because the lack there of a franchise CB in the league, I also believe although he doesn't posses champ's athletic ability, Smoot has better ball instinct's, which allow's him to close the gap on Champ as far as production on the field, 1 of the reason's we haven't had to say anything about Smoot getting burned is because he hasen't been burned this year, at least I can't remember him being burned, [correct me if I am wrong on that one] I just believe Champ is over hyped, as I felt Portis was over hyped as well when we traded for him.

Nobody is touting Smoot as the best corner, but some here ARE touting him as being better than Champ.

I don't recall Smoot getting toasted bad this year, but like I said, we haven't seen Owens or Moss yet. Have we faced a team with a true elite WR yet? I can't name one. We haven't even faced a team that is a threat through the air. Green Bay will be the first good test.

Toomer used to burn Bailey all the time, and as far as I can recall, Smoot/Springs did fine against him. That said, I see your point and they will definitely be tested many times through the rest of the season.

Fair point.

Who was the best reciever Smooty has covered this year? I guess probably Toomer? Toomer did burn Champ last year, but he didn't burn Smoot this year, he's still not an elite reciever though, I don't think G Bay has any elite reciever's, just Favre's ability to make play's which is a good test for a CB regardless.

Remember the week before when Chad Johnson was limited to 39 yds receiving by Cleveland's secondary. It was the Pepto Bismol game where he dropped like 6 balls. Bailey is a good CB, but he is extremely overrated. A good example would be the Madden 2005 video game. If you check Bailey's stats, he is stacked. He has 99 speed(the highest possible). I guess if speed kills Bailey then Dallas' Randal Williams could smoke him. He ran one of the fastest recorded 40 times. Bailey really isn't as fast as everyone thinks he is. A big physical receiver can give Bailey nightmares and also they occasional fake.

we'll play chad, TO, and moss... we'll see how we do, but champ doesn't really look like deion in his prime or D green in his prime... he may be the best in the league right now, but i don't really think he's that much better than #2, 3, 4 etc...
