springs reminded me of smoot last year, when he refused to sit and was throwing up after the games etc... he's just tired and if no one else is gonna fix it, he'll damn sure try...
anyways, blocking after turn-overs was better, STs didn't totally suck, the O was even a bit better... but favre completely abused and overmatched our safeties... i think lavar + taylor would have probably taken 14 points from GB... fookin sean taylor! grow up so i can watch you on sundays... play calling had some gadgets and more jacobs, which is nice, BUT almost every single brunell throw was high by like 2-3 feet AT LEAST... he's taking the don't turn it over thing to strictly... he can't he anything and he's turning it over anyways ... he was actually a bit better today, but he had time to not eat at least a couple of those sacks, and he still can't throw over 10 yards with an consistancy... and i'm really getting a little miffed that gibbs keeps praising him and saying its the whole offense, not just him... seems more like its the whole offense because of him... summary: *still have way too many injuries *D good, ST much better, downfield TO blocking better... rehire danny smith for now... *O sucks cause brunell sucks whether you want to agree with me or not *only thing worse than brunell are these damn refs they keep calling in to officiate our home games... |

We came from behind and won 21-20!!! What, we didn't????? (I'm still in denial)
Smoot and Springs rule. Also, great effort to the entire D for holding GB to 3 points in the second half due to the failed on-sides kick...which I thought was a good gutsy call though (and yes, I'm ignoring the TD after the refs stole the game from us). Ahman Green was held to 70 yards, at least 10-15 of which came after the bad call and INT that took the life out of us. Great effort by Gardner. He really seems to have turned it around, and is becoming the clutch receiver he is supposed to be. Awesome on the high one he pulled down! Now if Brunell could actually throw the ball TO the receivers..... Great effort by Royal on the 4th down conversion. I liked the not-so-conservative play-calling....the end around early on, Gardner's pass, the on-sides kick, going for 4th down (considering the situation). The balls (and the calls) are still going the other way most of the time, unlike Gibbs first go-around, but it will come around....it HAS to!!! Clinton only had 70 yards, but he also (should have) had about 60 yards receiving including a TD. It was nice to see Jacobs getting more involved. He has the potential to evolve into a star in this league. Morton is looking better and better each week with his returns....he seems to be "that close" to breaking one....hope he is alright. |

Gardner looked great. (once again that crow tastes good). Jacobs is getting more involved and had some good gets. I was happy to see Portis more involved in the pass game.
The D had trouble at first but solidified and once again put us in a position to win. |
