Re: Gilbert Arenas Sentenced to 30 days in halfway house
Oh, and there is this:
Grunfeld: Arenas will be a Wizard next season - ESPN I think Ernie is making this decision because he made Gilbert the $111M centerpiece of his reign as GM of the Wizards. He sunk so much money into Caron and Jamison, and now they're gone. If he voided Gil's contract or tried to trade him, how could he defend the fact that he deserves to keep his job? Also, it's worth noting that unless he makes statements like these, Gil's trade value goes to zero.

Re: Gilbert Arenas Sentenced to 30 days in halfway house
Arenas was losing games for the Wizards before the gun incident. He's a juvenile and will always cause problems. It's at least fun to root for the team now, even though they don't have any stars. The only problem with next season is that Arenas might be back on the team. Now I learn that Grunfeld might've drafted Stephen Curry, which would've been great!

Gilbert is a lucky man. I'd rather see him on another team and wish Ernie hadn't signed him to such a huge contract. The new Wizards are more fun to watch, even when they lose.
