Take another look at your Marshall stats. One of the years is wrong.

I wish we could grab some O-linemen from the dumpster too. Even though they also would be gone by the season, it'd at least make me feel better. I'm sure there are some big dudes eating their lives away in Miami that could lose 100 lbs by the start of the season and be a starting O-linemen for us...

I think you may be closer to the truth than anyone else. Montgomery can begin the season as the nose tackle if Ma'ake is not ready but Bryant should provide some insurance just in case Ma'ake has a setback because he may not be at full strength until October or November. However this is a pretty good sign that we are passing on any defensive tackles in the draft in place of offensive linemen and Inside linebackers.

Well he is young and if he gives it 110% he can be a good stopgap for the season. You never know he might get coached up.

The guy looks the part (as a NT). The question is has he played the part before. The Bucs and Lions are a 4-3 D and only the Fins are a 3-4, though he played in only 1 game. Hope he has hidden abilities that Bucs, Lions & Fins have missed that we can unearth.

I highly doubt that signing a guy who's done nothing is a pretty good sign that we'll pass on DT's. We may not address the position in the draft (at least high picks.. err.. pick so far), but this isn't the reason why.

A guy with 11 tackles allows us to move the best DT in the league? I would say it is more likely AH gets to play DE in the 3-4

Did anyone hear on 980 that Haslett wanted to run predominantly 4-3. The rumor is that MS over ruled him and is forcing the 3-4.

Probably not a big deal but not something I wanted to hear.

I never heard that. But adding this guy shows that Big Al will play DE the majority of the time, and once everything starts rolling will see how they will use him. I see this as a good signing, Jim Haslett is one of the best D.Cords in the league and has been IMO.
