It is, the 24th.

I went to the first party in '04 and got the shake hands with Gibbs. I had fun walking on the field and very much looked forward to going again. Oh well there is always next season.

What can I say? I can't stand those "experts" on ESPN, especially that fraud Mel Kiper who can't predict his way out of the #1 over all pick. And don't get me started on those bozos from Scouts Inc.

Plus I'm unmotivated when it comes to this sort of TV...hopefully when my kid is getting drafted I'll be more motivated...and "with the 19th over-all pick the Redskins select saden1 jr from Stanford" has a nice sound to it.

We don't like you either

In all seriousness, what does ESPN or Scouts Inc. have to do with a draft party at FedEx?

I would prefer to hear "with the 32nd pick the Redskins select"

How do you expect these guys to get all of the picks right? Teams have secrets and will pull some interesting picks all of the time. The analysts pick what they believe the team should pick.. or who they believe the team will pick, it's not a science. I mean the weather man is always messing up how do you expect the draft analyst to get it right?

I love Mel. He is the original. Sure he's wrong some times but so are the teams. His knowledge of these players is remarkable. And I am not just talking about Sam Bradford or Jimmy Clausen, Mel knows just as much about the 7th rounders that most internet mock drafters never even heard of. Anyway this thread is not about Mel but I had to defend my boy.

Re: Draft Party

If the Redskins had enough draft choices, it might be worth going. But unfortunately they aren't going to be drafting that many, unless they trade down. So I won't be going just to listen to other teams celebrate their selections.
