congrats for the most sensible comment on this thread. Actually picking players or picking winners of games each week requires research and talent but ultimately we do not know what is in a players mind. We don't know how motivated that person is to accomplish, regardless of what they say. Albert Haynesworth is a great example. All the talent but....and then there are just the behind the scenes things that go on with personal problems, or fights in the locker room we don't hear about so ultimately we are only evaluating on what we see on game film from "any given Sunday". |

Re: Mel Kiper's history
I honestly can't imagine watching a draft without Kiper. Mayock is good and I like NFLN's coveage, but I'll be switching back and forth mainly just to get Kiper's take on things.

Re: Mel Kiper's history
Yeah I agree here. Mayock is the best pure football guy and does a ton of good film work. Kiper I think maybe has a little less natural instinct for it but makes up for it with crazy prep. I am not ahuge fan of McShay. I respect his work but to me, compared to the other guys, he doesn't hold a candle. I'll watch Mayock because he is right more. I'll watch Kiper because it isn't the NFL draft without him.
