Yeah, just didn't know if you had already broken down his performances, line performances, etc for the games yet or what.

Agreed. "McNabb's W-L record" is actually Andy Reid's and the front office that decided not to give him WRs for most of his career.

Campbell didn't go 4-12, Jim Zorn and Vinny Cerrato did.

Yeah, that's what Longtimefan and I were referring to, him with the acronym PFR and myself with the link to the game logs.

Re: Anybody know McNABB'S record vs Dallas?

McNabb's troubles within the division figured in the Eagles' decision to trade him. In the last five seasons with Philadelphia, McNabb went 11-15 for regular-season and playoff starts against division opponents. McNabb is 35-23 lifetime in division starts, both regular season and playoffs. His best record is against his new team.

The team-by-team breakdown for McNabb:

Dallas Cowboys: 11-9
New York Giants: 11-7
Washington Redskins: 13-7

60% wins in the league's most competitive division is not bad.

No arguement there.

But the most recent 5 years record within the division (42%) tells the tale of why Philly not only traded him, but traded him within the division. Obviously Andy Reid is not concerned about facing McNabb twice a year.

That's really not the case at all. You'd have to be pretty naive to believe that.

Reid and McNabb are tight, he was reluctant to trade him to Oakland or Buffalo as McNabb was adamant he didn't want to go to those teams. So once the Skins came into the picture Reid agreed to do him that favor and trade him to the better situation, even if it meant going to a division rival.

Yep.. some have reported that we sweetened the deal with the additional pick as well. Not to mention teams wouldn't want to trade for McNabb if he wouldn't agree to an extension.

The people who are naive regarding the trade are the ones that truly do not realize that McNabb was in the drivers seat the whole time.

Oh yeah, I've heard all the stories about "Reid wanting to do right by McNabb". But the truth to the matter is McNabb adamantly stated he would not be traded to Buffalo or Oakland. The reason he was in the drivers seat on this one was he only had one year left on his current contract in Philly. And the acquiring team would need to renegotiate that in to an extension. All McNabb had to do if traded to Buffalo or Oakland, is not agree to terms, hence the trade would be nullified and he is back in Philly.

So McNabb did have a say in where he went.

And if he really was concerned about McNabb going to a division rival, he would have just not traded him at all.
