ok, i'm going to sound like a wrestling dork, but some of the guys in wwe are way more amazing than the old guys of the 80s and early 90s. back then, you'd have slow ass hulk hogan and fat guys like andre the giant (rip). now there's guys like rey mysterio jr. who can do a double back flip with a 180 twist off the top rope without breaking their necks. have you seen some of the extreme wrestling shows (like ecw)? ok, these guys may not be all that athletic, but they're freaking crazy- like they would jump off of the top tier in the stadium and land on some guy laying on a table ground level.
hehehe, but seriously i don't watch as much as i did when saturday night's main event used to be on. |

Brock Lesnar is huge - and would have to pass NFL drug tests. I doubt he has the physical ability to be a great player in the league. Maybe if he fattened up he would become a decent lineman.

Brock sure is a BIG boy. Would be interesting to see if he could make it. I would almost bet that he could make it. I sure agree about the drug test, maybe he ought to try baseball.

Lesner didn't play college football, and I really don't think he'd make it in pro football. I think he's pretty stupid for wanting to leave the WWE. After all, he's been a main event top star and I think he had a contract for the next 8 or 9 years.
Many sources had said that he was upset in regards to the Undertaker coming back as his old "deadman" gimmick where he doesn't sell any of the punches from his opponent. For the non-pro wrestling fans here, that basically means that when an opponent goes to "punch you" or "hurt you", then you don't act like it phases you. Brock felt that the WWE would allow the Undertaker (since it was planned for the two of them to have a fued after Wrestlemania), to blow through Brock Lesner. Wrestlers don't like that, because it pretty much ruins their character's tough guy attitude..and Brock doesn't like that. Anyways, didn't mean to talk Wrestling, just wanted to throw in my two cents worth. You know Bill Goldberg used to play pro football.

I seen this guy wrestle in the WWE a few years ago when he was a nobody & he was HUGE..!! He's all juiced up & I don't know how he thinks he's gonna receive serious consideration from any NFL teams. With all those roids in his system, he's just a timebomb waiting to explode.
This guy is just pumped up air. He'll probably blow his groin on his first 40 yard dash/scamper. Stick a fork in this can of corn, cause he's done.

I dont ever follow wrestling, but The Rock lined up with Warren Sapp in Miami. The Rock is a big dude and he didnt make it to the NFl.

The Rock had a horrible injury if I remember correctly, which is the only reason he wasn't drafted before Warren Sapp. I'm a bit suprised that Brock ran what he ran, but I wanna see what his piss looks like! Well... the results anyways!

Latest news from the St. Paul Pioneer Press is that Lesnar was injured in a motorcycle accident last weekend in Minnesota and lost about a week of training/conditioning for his NFL "tryout". He will go to Phoenix area and resume training Monday.
He is hoping to get in a supplemental draft and is trying to sell himself as a DL/MLB. His workout for NFL scouts/personnel people is around 20 May. Just to put some history into this thread, back in the 1970s, Geroge Allen had the idea that he would sign Andre the Giant to play DT for the Redskins. Then he found out what Andre was making in wrestling and it was about 5 - 8 times more than any lineman on the Skins at the time. (NFL salaries used to be outrgeously low!) So Allen gave up on the idea of a 7'5" DT who weighed about 450lbs. Also, a relatively unknown DT for the Denver Broncos became a pretty famous rassler - - Wahoo McDaniel. And don't forget Ernie "Big Cat" Ladd who was in Super Bowl 1 as a DT for the Chiefs. |

In addition you can add Steve " Mongo " McMicheal who wrestled full time. Lawrance Taylor, Kevin Greene and Reggie White also wrestled part time.
