BreakingNews

June becomes deadliest month of Afghan war for NATO forces with 76 deaths, 46 of them American, according to AP count June deadliest month of Afghan war for NATO - Afghanistan- msnbc.com 5 minutes ago via breakingnews.com

Just repeating, when soldiers were dying in Iraq under Bush, the media screamed about each one, still in Afghanistan we barely hear a peep, even as a general is scapegoated.

All in all, I'll never understand those that don't see the double standard and hypocrisy of mainstream media, but I know this point won't open any eyes. Maybe the worst part of all the political banter that goes on on this site is the fact that in the end we all vent, but no one ever, or extremely rarely, changes their opinion. The death penalty debate was awesome dialogue, but did anybody change their mind. The Obama care thread, amazing research, discussion, etc, but I doubt anyone changed their point of view.

Here's a good portion of the reason why.

washingtonpost.com

News Analysis - Rules for War Vex the Warriors - NYTimes.com

This BS counterinsurgency strategy isn't working, it's doing nothing but putting our troops at greater risk. We either fight this as a war or bring the troops home now. No way we put our troops on the ground at risk with this stupid strategy (it's been a Bush & Obama strategy). We either crush the enemy and deal with collateral damage, without putting our troops at greater risk, or bring them home now. Don't wait until July 2011.

I beg to differ. Bush didn't have an Afghanistan plan. He took all troops out to try to pacify tehe shiites in Iraq. He neglected afghanistan, he should be charged with dereliction of duty. How soon we forget Obama brought Afghanistan back up out of the cob webs. Iraq was outta control remember? How soon we forget.

Sometimes reading your rants is pretty funny, but when we're talking about our politicans and command generals leaving our front line trrops under more intense fire and at greater risk with a ridiculous engagement policy it's not funny at all. Read the articles and take off the Bush vs. Obama hat. That's why I specifically put in the first post that this was both a Bush and Obama strategy.

Funny how when a General or someone with rank would stand up and say something about what Bush was doing wrong he was pronounced as a great American by the left and a brave person for speaking his mind. Now this happens to Obama and I hear all the liberals freaking out. Someone on MSNBC maybe another station called him an Ass Hole. Boy how things change when the shoe is on the other foot.

I can't get U-tube right now. Can anyone go on there and look up the interview where Jimmie Rivers, eh I mean Geraldo Rivera was interviewing a Marine Colonel about safe guarding the opium?

Don't worry! When they repeal don't ask don't tell we'll have a military that can win against the Taliban. Bring forth the Dill-Dozer! Muuu ha ha ha ha ha!

I feel bad for the troops. They've never let us down. They've never lost a war either. The politicians lose wars.

Talking bad about your boss is talking bad about your boss any way you slice it. So are you also saying his complaints about Obama are not correct?
