I'm heading down this weekend myself. We have a place at the 8 mile post and there is nothing better then sitting on the beach drinking a cold beer and watching the girls walking by. Sorry I ment playing with my daughter and watching the girls walk by. No I ment sitting with my wife watching the girls walk by. Ok drinking beer and watching the girls.

For those who mentioned tomatoes, hell yeah. Love them. All shapes and sizes. It's also peach season- delicious.

I love the smell of fresh cut grass, the sound of cicadas in the evening, sitting outside with a cold beer, cooking on the grill, the beach, my wife in one of her tiny bikinis, driving with the sunroof and all the windows open with the music up....

I do love summer. Although this summer in DC has been stupid hot. I won't miss that come fall.

Re: The Best Things About Summer

I'd say Slurpees. My wife and I have this thing when it's butt hott outside and we're in the car we'll see a 7-11 and look at eachother and we'll know. Sometimes we'll go to about 5 7-11's til we find one with the Slurpees ready. Chillin and knowing that we still have that is pretty cool.

Outside of being gay and bringing love into the thread. I'd say grilling without a coat on whenever I feel like it, a beer fresh out of it's 15 min freezer nap period, going by Bowie State to reminice about Band Camp, backyard football, and I'd say running around in the yard with my son. And yardwork, all these years in the condo I never knew how much I missed working in the yard.

I grill without a coat on all year round.

The fire keeps you warm.

Grillin' and chillin', fireworks, fresh produce from farmer's markets and roadside stands, taking the kids to the pool or park, trips down to the beach, softball tournaments (as long as it's not 90+ degrees out), picking steamed maryland blues and downing them with pitchers of cold beer. All of which are amped up a notch if there are hot women in bikinis.

I purchased 4 crab pots about a month back and we have had crabs about once a week. This year has been pretty good and I can get 2 bozen of nice jimmy's in 24 hours. Last year and years past I was lucky to get 2 dozen in a week.

Tonight is one of those perfect late summer nights, nice cool breeze coming off the lake, crickets chirping, great sleeping weather.

I HATE TOMATOES! Worse food ever. But best thing about summer women wear less clothes.

How is that new boat doing? Have you guys been using it very much this summer? I have used mine more this summer then in the past two summers but I have not done very much fishing. Grayson our 3 yr old does allot better in the boat this year and when she gets a little tired she will just craw into the cabin and take a nap so thats a real big plus.

Re: The Best Things About Summer

Yeah we get out as much as possible. Wish we could get out more but we've either been busy with other things lately or the weather doesn't cooperate.
