I just don't understand them keeping Williams or Galloway over DT. But I guess the coaches have their reasons.

Kinda confused? McNabb is producing. McNabb showed up to OTA's. McNabb practiced all preseason. At the end of the day McNabb busts his butt and gets the job done. I guess your refering to the same thing could be said about Thomas also?

Re: DT now a Panther

I am with you Skins, but the vets paid their dues and obviously showed up to practice and worked hard. Shanny is going to build something, the thing is he didn't have a solid foundation to begin with, and it will take time. He acquired Donovan, but before that, all he had was Cooley, Portis, and Moss on offense, with a crappy line, and no complimentary Wrs to help Moss out. Armstrong is a start, but we need two more Wrs,(at least one more), a couple guards, and a tackle. The D we need linemen and a few DBs.

That is why a guy like Shanny is SO damn valuable. I would keep the bastard forever hoping he would get it. I don't think emotion is part of the equation for MS. AND it should not be or?????? YOU have the Redskins roster problems.
AND finally it is....ridiculous that I as a fan, (even if I was an exceptionally astute fan) am qualified in ANY way to make those decisions.
I think I would have the same problem. I will say though with DT, I felt it was either the position coach Hixon or DT himself. We bring in a whole new position coach (that alot of people were happy to have), new HC, and new scheme, DT still didn't pan out. So basically I gave up on him when he was moved up the roster. Clearly he's doing something wrong.

But Gibbs was the same way he would label players starters and there was no challenging for the roster spot it seemed. Loyal to the end I guess. This new coaching staff is impressing me all the time. You either perform or your gone. There is little time to wait for a player to "get it."

Well, Joe2 during his tenure help us regain some respect, putting us in the road to recovery, provided much needed leadership, etc. BUT Joe2......was a shadow of Joe1. He, Casserly, and Bethard were unequaled in player aquisition

Joe2 really didn't do much. Yeah 2 playoff appearances, but we got smoked in those. His drafts were horrible for the most part. Some nice hits like Cooley, and later Rogers, but misses mostly. I still don't understand his last draft or was it his next to last draft where he got 3 RBs when we were set with CP Betts and Rock, and we sorely needed new linemen.

I have a perfect example of how a scheme and how a guy is used is HUGE for receivers...

Brandon Lloyd.

What an insane year he is having... ridiculous thus far...

I don't think people realize how many misses Gibbs 1 had with player acquisitions. They just gave themselves a lot more opportunities which allows you the luxury of more mistakes. Just like what the Pats do

Desmond Howard, Jamie Morris?

Ahhh....what could have been if Timmy Smith had remained clean and sober!

Speaking of players not 100% dedicated to being the best they can be as Redskins.
