Re: Reebok out, Nike in as NFL uniform supplier
The NFL isn't going to allow them to come in and make crazy changes without teams signing off on them. I think Summo is right, the changes will probably be more with the materials used. Perhaps they will propose new designs to teams but ultimately the teams themselves would have to agree.

Re: Reebok out, Nike in as NFL uniform supplier
All I want to know is whether shit is going to cost less. Also, are PFT people Huskie fans? Please believe my Ducks have the best colors and uniform in College Football.

Glad to see the Ducks changed it up with the uniforms. That strictly black and green crap from a few years ago was a bad joke. I like how they have the 3 different looks now. Not sure about the feathers on the shoulders though. |

Was in the market for a new Jersey. Glad I saw this thread...don't feel like dropping nearly $200+ only to see the design and/or materials change next season. Mine as well just wait now.

Re: Reebok out, Nike in as NFL uniform supplier
Where's this notion coming from that Nike would release jersey's without the teams permission?
"Vut Mr. Prezident ze team sez their current unis are wonderbar!" "Forgetz them! Zey must know ze power of the swoosh!!!!!" Obviously it's in Nike's best interest to have a team wear a particular jersey on gameday to generate sales. I'm pretty sure though that part of the reason the NFL recruited Nike was to start their own line of pro combat jerseys with wacky, out of this world designs. If anything it kind of felt out of place in the more traditional based college game.

Re: Reebok out, Nike in as NFL uniform supplier
NIKE will be a sweet change for the NFL .. nobody wants to see the craziness of the Oregon Ducks unis .. however who didn't like those black VT jerseys they rocked on Monday Nite .. I think Nike making some advancements will be a very cool addition to the jersey collection already growing in my closet .. sucks to be Reebok, that has to the most lucrative jersey deal in all of sports.

Re: Reebok out, Nike in as NFL uniform supplier
I actually really liked the Nike Pro Combat uni's that VT rolled out against Boise State but that uniform was designed like that to pay homage to VT's background as a technical science college, hence the number design. That was just unique to VT's situation, we probably wouldn't see anything like that in the NFL.

Re: Reebok out, Nike in as NFL uniform supplier
What do you mean "finally"?
Knowing Nike, they'll make our jerseys black and give us a flat black helmet. Our pants will be 24K gold-colored and have reptile scales on them.
