Re: 4-4 some ready to give up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Miami and Atlanta. Granted they didn't have all the intangibles you listed above, but they did have new coaches, new quarterbacks, crappy offensive lines and I doubt their skill position players were hot shit too.

Re: 4-4 some ready to give up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4-4 at the bye, I'm not complaining. Got a lot of work to do over the bye, but overall not a bad first 8 games of the new regime.
And just think of this, AT LEAST WE'RE NOT DALLAS! |

We're an 8-8 team. I have made peace with that, you should too.

Re: 4-4 some ready to give up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm certainly not ready to give up, but this is about where we deserve to be at the halfway point. This team will finish in the 7-9 to 9-7 range, depending on the bounces, and will probably be in the hunt for the last playoff spot, but not much more. That's a vast upgrade over 4-12, and I'll gladly take that in Shanny's first year.

Sorry but not going to get me to be happy at 4-4. There was NOTHING positive to take away from from today's game. Nothing! We got beat AGAIN by a team with one win. Sad

Re: 4-4 some ready to give up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Lions are much better than their W/L record. Anyone who watched the game today should be able to see that.
They're still learning how to win. They're a talented bunch, now they just have to put it all together. |

Banks is amazing, if we could only clean up the damn penalties on returns.

Re: Redskins
Actually we have been quite lucky since the first win. The difference in the Lions game is we didn't get bailed out by one of their star players getting hurt, playing against Cutler, or a team pretty much giving us the game by killing themselves by having a sorry RT that holds every other play. We're gonna have to start playing football soon because as we've seen today, Lady Luck won't always show up. We have to do it on our own.

Re: Redskins
Why are we worried about what Dallas does at this point? Winning franchises don't worry about what bottom feeders are doing, they go out and take care of the type of weaker teams that owned us today. Sorry, but Dallas sucking right now doesn't erase the fact that we suck too.

Re: 4-4 some ready to give up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And their franchise QB didn't play until today. They've been in every game except for the Rams (wow is that an inconsistent team). Calvin Johnson is the best WR in the league. Suh will be an All-Pro for the next decade or so. They have several former HC's as position or coordinator coaches on staff. They beat the Bears (though a bad rule stole it from them).

Re: 4-4 some ready to give up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amen! Couldn't agree more. Only a 19-0 team with an avg margin of victory of 15 is worthy of happy fans.

Good to know that you are satisfied with the team we have on the field right now. I'm going to hold out a little longer.
