So I wonder now if anything will change in regards to their expected draft placements? Usually the media and fans look at stats and watch film for skill level and technique. The coaches and GM's look at that and the wonderlick. They want a smart QB.

Oh, and I wonder.... who said we should drop back and look to take a QB in the second round.... hmmm, who could that be.... oh me

Edit: Ponder or Dalton.

Re: 26-27-60 QB formula

I'd take any of the guys listed in green. Ponder and Dalton are the two I like the best.

I do not want Locker at all, nor do I want the #10 pick to be used on a QB.

Another player there looked at him and said "dude, 30 yards is 90 feet". Lockers response was, "I don't know that stuff, I'm a history major"!!!

That seems a bit unfair. There are probably a lot of history majors/liberal arts students that are very bright, that don't know how many feet are in a yard at that age. The concern would be w/how well he can memorize numbers & variations of plays. Doesn't make him dumb, but he may have to work harder to memorize the playbook.

I"m going on record right now. If this kid becomes a legit QB in the NFL, I will buy everybody on this board a drink.

I was watching last night and thinking there is no way i would pick this kid in the first 2 rounds of the draft. I put it at a 5% chance that he's successful in the nfl as a qb.

He's going to have a huge learning curve when it comes to learning a playbook and operating an NFL offense that's for sure.

Interesting that Jay Cutler was one of the notable exceptions. As was Ben Rothelisberger if we want to talk about Cam's chances of NFL success. Vick was also an exception.

Also im really starting to like Tyrod Taylor after last night. Although his "numbers" suck:

??? - 41 -57.4%

If Taylor wasnt 6'1" i feel like he would be a top 5 prospect.
After watching the show last night I was going to say the same about Tyrod, I am starting to like him despite his height.
I came away with a diffrent opinion in Locker, after watching the show I have lowered my estimation of his on field ability. Yes he is tough and a wonderful human being. Stayed in school and getting his degree. Everyone that knows him loves him. Yes yes yes,

What I did not like is: 1) he took off running way too much. 2) if he runs like that in the NFL his career will end prematurely.3) I was shocked at how bad his competition was in the Pac 10. When I saw the footage of the crucial final two games against 4-8 UCLA and Cal 5-7, I was shocked at how small, slow and unathletic the LB's and DB's for those two teams were. My High School Db's were bigger and stronger the the ones trying to tackle Locker on his runs that won the games. It was surprising to see so many of Lockers highlight plays were runs and not passes against inferior athletes.
I was always under the impression that Locker was a pocket Qb that could also run. The film showed the opposite, a running Qb that is an inconsistent passer. I understand Locker's teams was not very good, but I also have to question the skills of teams he did play last year. Other than the USC game. when they did play quality opponents, they got beat bad. 41-0 against Standford, 44-14 against Arizona, 53-16 against Oregon.

Not hardly. Up until last year, Vick has been horrible as a QB.

Michael Vick: Career Stats at NFL.com

He had a grand total of one year where he threw for over 2,500 yards and had a QB rating over 78. (81)

I'm sorry, he's the DeAngelo Hall of the QB position. He's hyped up because fans see him avoiding tackles on ESPN and think that's the mark of a good QB.

Vick the running back on the other hand is very good. Too bad he plays the QB position.

I'm AWARE NC Skins! I've liked lived in Atlanta for like a good while now, ya know, like totally. I like know how much he used to suck. The point is he's found a way to......unsuck? Thereby qualifying him as an exception to the rule. Of course he had to see the light for our division rival. Thanks Vick, you're the gift that keeps giving.
