He'll be a NT and it's a solid pick but I think Marvin Austin would have been better IMO

I still thought there were better NT's available (Austin, Ellis, Paea), Bowers got 15.5 sacks so Jenkins was collapsing the pocket and drawing double teams, but he must get stronger (17 reps).

poor pick period in the 2nd round. Hankerson pick made up for it. It was a reach...the Skins told him he would be playing NT, so no plans at DE for him. USC kid, Paea, and Kendrick Ellis much much much better pick for NT. Watch Ellis at the Jets

Kiper said this was a reach, too. Oh well. Sounds like this was the most questionable of the picks, but this was still a huge need.

Hard to imagine this guy will hurt us stopping the run. The Paea guy apparently had a knee issue.

No Question. He can prove us wrong and only time will tell, but this pick is the only reason I give us an A- instead of an A. I don't know if he's big or strong enough to play NT, or fast enough to play End in a 3-4 DE. We might regret not taking Ellis, Austin and Paea, but if we get Powe, a true NT in the 4th I'll be reassured.

Maybe on tape he works harder than the other DTs. Seems like that's our new theme this year

Powe would be a good pick hands down in the 4th or 5th

At some point I'd like a Center

Maybe we should let this guy play a down first. Rather have a gamer than a workout warrior.

right there with you. i don't really see it as a reach cause mop top says so. this draft has beeen very deliberate and it seems like they know what they want to do and who they want to do it with. i'm actually blown away by how well they have played this draft so far, the only thing that kills me is we didn't do this last year and i have no f-ing clue why not

From what I've heard, the only people who say we have a weakness at center is the fans. The guys on the team all say Rabach is a leader and is absolutely a favorite in the locker room.

What should they have done last year? We certainly couldn't have traded out of the #4 spot and not taken Trent Williams. They absolutely needed to get a left tackle, and they did.

Thanks to Vinny Bozo we just didn't have much to work with last year.

Jenkins: [QUOTE] “If I want to be an elite player in the NFL, I have to improve on my pass rushing because sacks get you paid, sacks get you in the Hall of Fame. So that’s something I’ve got to work on.” [UNQUOTE]

Haslett will definitely find work for him.

I like the quiet steps being taken to improve the second worst defense in the league.

I just wonder if we could've gotten this kid a round or two later.
