See in the US we have elections every two years and you have the chance to vote out the people you do not like. You can even do like 12th and volunteer to help the people you support to get elected.

And on another positive note:

Operation cleanup: Broom armies spring up across the UK to reclaim the streets from looters | Mail Online

Just hours after thugs left cars and buildings burning and streets littered with shop-window glass, thousands of volunteers from London to Manchester have turned out with to reclaim their streets.Broom army: Hundreds of residents turned out in a rainy Manchester centre to clean up their city

Re: London Riots

Do you think people check sizes when looting clothing? You know you have a bad business concept when it can't even get looted in London.

Yup, we would have Fox blaming Obama and MSNBC blaming G.W. Bush. And they probably wouldn't report much on what was happening.

Re: London Riots

I like what Uncle Jimbo has to say on the topic:

London is burning and the search is on for a way to avoid the bleedingly obvious, the welfare state has created a class off looters and moochers.

May even be deserving of a separate thread....

Re: London Riots

This is ridiculous with the American media. No live coverage of Vancouver and no live coverage of London. I guess someone has to riot outside the CNN or Fox News studio to encourage American outlets to cover crap other then American Idol ratings and JLo's divorce.

Heck even BBC America didn't switch up their programming during the riots.
