This is a better chart and has the injured listed. The actual PDF version. http://media.washtimes.com/media/mis...s-08-12-11.pdf The chart is on page 21. It also has a neat breakdown on how everybody on the team was acquired. |

Re: Depth Chart
not gonna give you any more crap than you've already got lol so what he doesn't follow the redskins as closely as many of us do. its not like you here any of the stuff he doesn't know about on (what is most peoples source of sports news) ESPN. and like many of us, he is too lazy to read through other threads.
anyways, Torain better not get cut, ill go bananas if he does. at this point i'm ready to take on his injury risks, he's the best pure runner we have. i'd like Chris Horton gets more of a shot. i thought two seasons ago he played better than doughty did, and in living in LA i got to see him play pretty damn well at UCLA. lastly i hope we find a spot on the roster for Banks. he's is what we don't have many of on this team and that's a play maker. His return ability can win many games for us. the bears were at their peak when hester was at his. they've had many comparable rosters since, but hester hasn't made nearly as much of an impact since then & they havn't played at that level either.

Re: Depth Chart
I'm also pretty confident they'll have just two QBs after cutdown day. I mean, I think Kellen Clemens is here for the long haul, and if John Beck is going to be inactive for most of the year, you need to then put the third QB on the roster, but unless they're going to break with more than 25 offensive players, I think its two QBs into week one.
The fact that Chappel should pass through effortlessly to the practice squad just makes things easier.

Re: Depth Chart
If we only carry two quarterbacks, who gets cut? Beck? Or Grossman?
I don't see either one of those guys getting cut, and they like Kellen too, and Kellen's been looking good in practice. |

Re: Depth Chart
it would be ideal to carry 2 QB's. but i see us keeping all three (beck, grossman, & kellen)

Re: Depth Chart
Shaun Draughn vs. Evan Royster could be interesting.

It's going to be a three QB team, I just think they're going to need that roster spot until they set the practice squad and play a few games.

Re: Depth Chart
just a thought, but i don't remember our squad being this troubled over cuts or mulling over the roster like this in a while. we haven't had this much competition in a while. good problem to have i'd say.
we have a good mix of guys with more "guaranteed" production & guys with lots of potential.

Hightower acquisition might be the writing on the wall for torain (although your right he might be our best pure runner). Unfortunately injuries do cost talent their job from time to time. And banks will def make the team. He's first on the return depth chart |

Re: Depth Chart
Alvin Walton created a valuable thread, which has been stickied to the top of the locker room forum and that is constantly updated and I linked to in the 2nd post here that lists every move made

Re: Depth Chart
A depth chart this early for a team coming off a 6-10 season is not really that important right now. There will be plenty of change in the depth chart going forward.
I think where we could continue to see changes and issues is the QB, OL, LB and CB position(s). Beck and (little hands) Rexy's play is very up and down right now. I would not be surprised to see both of them playing and getting benched at different times of the season. Especially playing behind a line that is still inconsistent and trying to find a couple of good guards and center. Plus we are not very deep in the OL. If god forbid injuries set in as it always does, we do not have strong backups yet, especially at LT. This could very easily change by some guys stepping up. We will see. But word out of camp is the backups on the O-line are not playing well and are routinely getting used by the defense. This is a concern. |
