Let me clarify. I will not start any thread to discuss VC. I will not debate anyone who wishes to defend the sucking hole of incompetence that was VC.

However, I will gleefully pile on when anyone, as Doc did, gives him a solid kick in the nuts. I am not wallowing in the past, I am simply enjoying "the now" by letting my dislike of the past show.

I agree 100% with you!

Fine. I wallow - but only when someone invites me to the mudhole.

Yeah, I'm not sure Doc was trying to deliberately be a jerk. I think it was more good-natured ribbing. Cerrato knows that he stirs some really negative passions in this town and that he has a number of enemies in the Redskin community. I'm guessing he'd be very careful not to invite someone who he believes might have any inclination to deliberately embarrass him.

The reason Cerrato stopped doing his weekly show because he was taking a pounding by the fans. Also another reason his show is in Baltimore and not in DC.

This thread wouldn't be complete without this.

His acting career resembles his GM career.

Honestly I'm just glad that era is over and we have some competent decision makers in place. Constantly revisiting the past makes it seem like some almost enjoy wallowing in it.

I'd rather move on and look forward to some better times.
Strong post, agree.

Hard to move on when he's constantly in the media/press. For that very reason is why he'll continually be brought up.

Re: Doc Walker Craps on Cerrato

I'm pretty much with JoeRedskin on this one. Almost the entire time I've been a fan of the Redskins Cerrato was in control, and he's in the top two culprits of reasons why the Skins have mostly failed for the last decade. I'll let it go when this organization turns it around and there are no lasting traces of his impact. Until then, I still have the utmost disregard for that man (Calling him "that man" should be noted, because I have a lot more words I'd rather use to describe him than those two), and my feelings toward him are going to be rehashed every time his name comes up.

But Vinny? I will never, ever stop dumping on that ignorant slime ball when presented the opportunity. He was the dirty, stupid &*&*&'er who destroyed any semblance of a professional organization. He was the root cause of evil within my beloved 'Skins. Satan went to him for advice on how to make hell more unpleasant (but VC managed to f*** that up also by telling Satan to trade up and draft a couple of Angels - Satan cut them the next year and they are now working at a Burger King in purgatory).

When we make two or three playoff appearances in a row or win one SB, then and only then, will the boiling bile built in my belly be sated.

So ... Good on ya Doc! Thank you! Please never stop kicking the guy for us! and, when we win, laugh in his face - literally.
Gotta agree with NC and JR. If Vinny had one ounce of humility and could admit that some of his moves sucked, that would be one thing. But he has remained arrogant and defiant that he and Snyder "had a plan" all along. If the objective was to run the franchise into the ground and test the patience of your fan base, then well done! At least Allen and Shanahan have blown up the star system around here, and have everyone pushing in the same direction. Better days are coming, but I can't just forget what Vinny did to our proud franchise.

i couldnt tell you. one day listening to the fan in baltimore he comes on with his own show i think with ken whinemen (sp?).

he really isnt all that bad for the limited time ive listened, i tend to turn the dial after a min or so but he was a GM, NFL exec and basically talks about scouting and personnel decisions which when talked about on a general level is pretty interesting. when he starts talking about specific players he seems one dimensional. for 3 mins he talked about how an O lineman didnt have a good punch (initial punch at snap) . .

i hate to say it but he says some informative stuff on the general behind the scenes going ons in the nfl.

Not to mention that he even exaggerates his own bad moves and seems not ashamed of such hyping at all. *cough* two 1sts for Chad Johnson *cough* when it was actually less than that.
