I just won't tolerate those lame fans who'll use the excuse of injuries as to why they lose games...

I prefer that we stay the underdogs, especially while we are rebuilding. When everyone else starts having high expectations for us, then we know we the team is coming together. Let's take it one game at a time!

Re: Giant's fans predicting victory: funny stuff here!
On one thread we have people putting down Landry for trash-talking in a way that he can't back up...and in another thread we have people trash talking about beating the team which has had our number for years.
The irony is rich.

This. Sorry polywog, it appears you are flying solo on this one. I'm as amped up as anyone else about the game, but we'd be stupid to ignore the facts. And the facts are that we haven't posed a threat to the Giants in years. I hope it's different this time around but their fans do have a point. Of course they should be confident about beating us, we've lost our last 6 games against them. That's an eternity in NFL time.

Re: Giant's fans predicting victory: funny stuff here!
Well, I'll be the first to say, I'm with ya Polywog! I have a lot of confidence in this team. That confidence might be gone by game one, or it might be reinforced after game one, but I see this Redskins team as something very different from what the Giants have faced the last three years. This team is going to be much, much younger, they look hungry, and they all seem to have a great deal of confidence. I believe that is one thing that is different from what the Giants have faced the last few years - this 'skins team seems to have a lot of promise and confidence in themselves. That confidence can take a team a mighty long ways.
I do think a lot of teams are going to underestimate this team this season. And, that's OK with me. I hope they do. I have seen a lot of lists and rankings leaving the Redskins in the bottom of the pile (even some lists have had the 'skins below the Bungals!) So, let me underestimate this team.

Re: Giant's fans predicting victory: funny stuff here!
If the point of this thread (assuming there is one) is to say "we look good and have a level of confidence that we will beat the Giants" then hey I am with Poly, I think we have the better team, and am looking forward to the win. But if the point, as it seemed to be, was to bash NYG fans for having the audacity to think that their team will beat the Skins, well, history gives them that right.

Giants are a tough team. It will be a close game but I think we pull with a win. People aught to know they have good running game and receivers, d-line and tough as nail. Lets hope Eli is his shitty self.

Re: Giant's fans predicting victory: funny stuff here!
Vigiants fans should feel confident about beating us like CREDSKINSRULE stated. We have alot to prove, preseason is just that, preseason. I think most Gmen fans would agree the Skins are moving in the right direction, but probably feel we are not there yet, so them calling for an easy win is not outragous by any means. Giants still have a nice collection of talent at skills positions and great coaching which will keep them in most games.

Don't understand the new guy to much. He downs Redskin players for trash talking, and making bad plays, but then makes a bad thread full of trash talking? Redskins have some of the biggest homerish fanbase in the NFL, and that's ok. It's alright to have a good outlook on your team. Just because the Giants are banged up doesn't mean they wont have 11 guys on the field. Giants having a bunch of injuries is a every year thing, and they still went 10-6 last year, and we haven't beaten them in forever

Are you new here? I'd say 3/4 of the board are pessimists who pick us to lose.

Stored in the folder marked "usual"....Doubt there's a fan of football in any city that's not predicting a win for their team this weekend. That could change however as the season progresses.
