Re: What did you do at work today?
Analyzed some financials. Told my team to financially analyze some finances. Explained to my boss how we went about developing the analysis of our financial situation. And so on.
Then I ate crow on my defense of Albert Haynesworth stance in the Haynesworth thread. Tasted funny, but feels better.

Cleaned up dog shit.
Seriously. That's my job. I work at a kennel. The life of a grad student. Blah.

My sister feels your pain, although I can't factually claim she does the same thing at Banfield.

Banfield is so much better. And they pay more. I've wanted to apply for jobs there so bad but apparently you have to be unemployed from Petsmart for 6 months before you can apply there.

Re: What did you do at work today?
I wrote several homowners in the morning.
Worked on a few customers policies. Lost a long time customer which sucked due to rates. Set up a meeting in Richmond. Delivered a proposal to do to a short term disability policy for a 50 person company. Our club had a board meeting last night at 6:30 and sense I'm now the pres I had to run the meeting. Decided to scratch our chilifest and now we are going to do a Beer, Band & BBQ festival. |

6 months isn't that long. Just bide your time and focus on the task at hand and before you know it, you'll be able to apply there too to get out of that kennel.

Re: What did you do at work today?
Smoot, I expect to see a report on "What's wrong with Skip Bayless" in the near future.
Today: -walked next door to hospital cafeteria to grab breakfast to go. we get discounts -grabbed a cup of java from co-workers office -doing inventory on blades/switches throughout campus since administration apparently can't keep records of the stuff we sent last year. -checking a faulty TrippLite 5K unit that probably needs to be replaced -getting a second cup of java

I taught overly-muscular action movie heroes how to casually walk away from massive explosions without looking back. I'm exhausted.

Re: What did you do at work today?
typical work from home day for me:
-roll outta bed 5 minutes before I have to start my day -coffee, coffee, and maybe some more coffee -eat lunch around 11 -lunch break at 1, go out for a run -shower, back to work at 2 -listen to some music, NFL radio, or Stern -watch the clock the rest of the day |

Re: What did you do at work today?
Today I am preparing examples to show our Australian national who is VP of our China office how bad China's quality is.
He will look at then, ask me to create and track another spreadsheet which he will show to the Chinese and they will not perform any tangible corrective action but instead will tell us that they punished their workers like they always do. I am also measuring some new stuff that does not fit on our measuring fixture but the tech that asked for the info doesn't give a rats ass and said to get the data "close enough". I filed some supplier certifications that no one cares about. I have stacks and stacks of them and no one has looked at them in over a year.
