Re: Viking release McNabb
He might not have played well in Washington but was it the system or him, point being how com Campbell others liked but here with the Skins, fans say he sucked?

Re: Viking release McNabb
One thing is for sure. It's been 2 years since DM5 left and Philly has yet to win a playoff game. So instead of them making it over the hump they have taken several steps in the opposite direction lol. I hope the curse continues indefinitely

The difference is that McNabb's value to the franchise was the highest on the day he was acquired, and just tanked from there at every opportunity. The selection of Jason Campbell in the first round in 2005 was pretty much universally viewed as an overdraft, but Campbell looked viable as a NFL starter until the day he was traded.

Re: Viking release McNabb
What I wonder now is will dm5 swallow his pride and make himself available as a backup, where he could almost certainly play another few years (brunell is 41, and garcia just worked out for the texans at 41), or will mcnabb just retire.
I personally think he will retire, but if don loves the game and wants to help out still, im sure someone will sign him as a primary backup. Who knows, he may get the chance to start again one day, you never really know in the nfl...

Re: Viking release McNabb
McNabb's skill deteriorated so fast because of his lazy work habits and poor study habits. When he was younger he could get away with those flaws but not once he got older. I think his bad work and study habits are the reason MN got rid of him as they didnt want DM's bad habits rubbing off on their young QBs.

Re: Viking release McNabb
I would never dis his career simply because he never won a sb. He made it there & he lead a very good team for years w/limited weapons. He was a pretty good qb in his day, but that day has passed.
I think he could play another few years as a backup if he wants to, and due to injuries he could be in a starting lineup next week. I think even philly has to consider him, he might help improve morale on that team. |

Re: Viking release McNabb
I would pick up McNabb off of waivers so I could start him against the Jets and then bench him again for Rex Gross. Then I would cut him the following Monday.
:cheeky-sm I'm a evil bastard like that.
