I heard an interesting interview with Joey T. on that play, he was on the sideline with Gibb's when Gibb's told him to run that play and Theisman said he wanted to take a knee, Gibb's said run it because they ran it earlier in the year when we played them and it worked for like 90 yard's, Theisman then said yea but they have seen it don't you think they will be looking for it? Gibb's said no now run it, so Theisman went to the huddle called the play and as he was walking to the line he was looking at Gibb's trying to get him to call the play off and take a knee when Gibb's motioned to him to run it, so he did, the rest is history. When that play was called it was even then uncharectoristic for Gibb's, I remember thinking what's the point even if it work's there won't be enough time to get another play off defiently a bad call even if it haden't been intercepted.

At any point did Theismann take any blame for the throw?
