Re: Shanahan said what?
It's painfully annoying to have an HC who says things devoid of reality. At no point in the last two seasons did any facet of the team approach playoff caliber. As pointed out in the article...the offense was shockingly anemic before all the injuries.
This article doesn't bode well for the rest of the Shanny adventure. He doesn't seem to grasp we need an overhauled scheme and new coaching attitude on offense. At no time did Kyle's, or is it Mike's, ahhhh hell who knows, at no time did the offense show the tempo of a solid offense, let alone playoff caliber. And the scheme, which seems to rely on defenses being weak in the middle of the field, isn't going to take flight regardless of the personnel.

I am a Spice Girl.
That statement has as much validity as what Shanny said. And I would not expect anyone to worry much about his statement or mine.

Re: Shanahan said what?
Just avoid nonsensical statements! No reason to bring up the playoffs lol and if the dumb little interviewer mentions them you say "Playoffs!? Playoffs? Playoff!?" lol

Re: Shanahan said what?
Mike Shanahan's interviews are awesome.
I'm srurprised he didn't slip in a: 'for obvious reasons' in the interview he managed to sneak in a 'best chance to win' right there at the end. But what does anyone expect him to say? He's already proven he'll literally say anything yet tell nothing. |

Re: Shanahan said what?
I like what he is saying. He is giving the players we have on the roster a little confidence, and I honestly believe without the injuries we had along the offensive line, RB, WR and TE, we could have made the playoffs. The offense got better as the season progressed (when rex was put back in), we finished 16th overall with a make shift line, no TE, and two rookie RBs. So yeah, i think that if we had stayed healthy we would have made a run at the division.
I also believe had half of the picks that went on to Rex's stats, had been caught or flat out dropped (vs tipped into defenders hands) he would have had an exceptional year. Of the 20 he threw, several we tipped or wrong routes. I am not saying he didn't make bad decisions on some of those, but there were a good bit that were not one him. Two in one game were Fred's fault for bad routes. Two I can count off Moss's hands, Armstrongs hands. I'll probably get blasted for that! LOL |

Re: Shanahan said what?
Well dang, I guess we'll be taking a defensive player with the first pick then.
