Is there anyone here who honestly believe there was any chance at all that RG3 is not the starter?

That's what I was thinking, I thought this thread was a joke. But I didn't wanna be like, "Wasn't he always going to be the starter?" Then everyone be like, "Yeah... That was the point."

Re: RGIII Named Starter

This is unprecedented. I can't say I expected this......AT ALL.

In all seriousness though I'm a little worried that Griffin isn't wearing a rib protector as we all know to well the potential hits that mobile QB's can face on gameday.

.....or maybe RG3's wearing one but it's hard to see due to his lean frame?

Update: Never mind, found a few pictures of him at Baylor wearing one. Good to know, those ribs are worth millions upon millions of dollars according to Don Lapre.

Re: RGIII Named Starter

Probably posted before but just in case people were doubtful that a rift was developing between RG3 and Cousins.
RG3, Kirk Cousins eat burritos, study plays together - NFL.com

This is going to get ugly.

I know, there are unconfimed (at this time) reports that RG3 used all the PACE Picante sauce, and didn't leave any left for Kirk.

In all seriousness, I actually was believing this was the MOST likely scenario right from the get-go.

One of the few times I guessed somthing right.

GOOD! Will RG3 have his ups and downs, sure but the kid can play. Let him take the helm.

Re: RGIII Named Starter

At least Mike Shanahan didn't delay to the preseason. He obviously feels good about Grifffin III's chances of excelling in his offense. I was thinking that RG3 would be named the starter by the third preseason game, but why wait that long? Griffin III should be the starter.

Re: RGIII Named Starter

Did anyone read the insider post on the WP? If you haven't go read it. RG impressed the hell out of MS this weekend and is the only rookie qb he has ever coached that didn't miss a call or read during their first mini camp. Oh oh I got a feeling, I got a feeling that I never ever has before!
