Re: Redskin @ Rams: Break it down
Pretty much this in a nutshell. The Rams OL is suffering as noted by Bradford's performance last year. He hasn't proved he can perform with the pressure in his face so I say bring the heat, and bring it often.

Re: Redskin @ Rams: Break it down
Their weakness at Oline plays perfectly into our strength at Dline. We should be able to pressure Bradford without blitzing as much which is huge. They have a pretty solid secondary, but they give it up on the ground. We should be able to run the ball better against the Rams.
They got Jackson who always f*cks us up, so we need to key Fletch and Riley on him. If we can grab a lead early, then we can just rush the hell out of the Bradford and look to cause turnovers. My concern is their secondary, they were pretty decent last week. But its been mention above, Fred Davis and Niles could be key and a match up nightmare in the middle. Lets mix in the run with Alfmo and I want to see more Helu.

I was hoping it would be. I watched the game on a crappy-looking stream on a 19-inch iMac monitor with the volume low because the baby was napping. DVR for sure. I turned on the NFL Network for their scoreboard a few times, but the TV was off most of that 3 hours...almost wish I had turned the Eagles' disaster on though.

Re: Redskin @ Rams: Break it down
Scott Wells their starting Center is on IR (designated to return though but that doesn't matter for this game)
Roger Saffold their LT is hurt with a neck problem, but says that he will play. I'm calling it now. Cortland Finnegan will get into a fight with probably Pierre (second choice Morgan) St. Louis has Steven Jackson, and sam bradford. They're more competitive, but our offense should put up some big points on them. Their LBs are improved though with Dunbar, Laurinatis, and other guy (Edit: Ohh Good ole Rocky McIntosh!). Chris Long is their best DL by far.

Re: Redskin @ Rams: Break it down
Scott Wells, broke his foot, on IR now. I'd say they have the #32, WORST o-line in football. Michael Brockers will likely miss our game too. They have a decent, well, improved set of WRs for Bradford. I think he'll take a step forward this season. Amendola, Brandon Gibson, the other Steve Smith, Brian Quick. Our secondary needs to continue their solidplay from Week 1. We should win easily.

Re: Redskin @ Rams: Break it down
Tighten up special teams -- Offense vs. Offense, the skins outscored the saints 40-25. RG3 can't get hit as much as he did vs NO, let him work out of shotgun more -- he had way more success out of shotgun than under the center from what I saw.

Re: Redskin @ Rams: Break it down
We should be good on offense, but their defense definitely has it's share of playmakers. Honestly, I think we'll need to get creative to get the running game going.

Re: Redskin @ Rams: Break it down
Our defense was on the field for all of 20 minutes against the Saints.
I dont think Stephen Jackson will be able to build up enough steam before he has to cut as their 2nd tier offensive line starters try to cope with our front 3. Our linebackers will hold his rush average to under 3.5 yards per carry. Provided we break a couple plays on offense, this will be a sound victory. I predict a ton of rushing yards for us as we widdle down the clock from the lead position. It's very exciting to be a Redskins fan right now. |

Re: Redskin @ Rams: Break it down
this by no means will be an easy victory, easy team to beat. Jeff Fischer gonna have these guys ready to play and they should have beaten a pretty good Lions team.

Re: Redskin @ Rams: Break it down
The Rams have a weak OL that just got weaker with the loss of Saffold.
If (once) our offense gives us enough of a lead to force the Ram's into 'must throw' mode our defense gets to pin their ears back and hunt. Our defense is going be all over Sam Bradford. |

Re: Redskin @ Rams: Break it down
Do they have any WR's that are game breakers? Meaning is any one going to get behind us consistently? I ask an honest question.

Only one I can think of is Rookie Chris Givens. But overall, No.

Re: Redskin @ Rams: Break it down
Bad line, no deep threat. We should be able to handle their offense. I see us just burying Bradford. I predict a 6+ sack day. All they really have is Jackson - he's tough but w/ no line and no deep passing we will likely crowd the LOS. Don't know their D at all but think the speed of our O plus the lack of tape on RGIII will be to tough for them to handle.
Barring some type of let down, I just don't think they match up with us.

Re: Redskin @ Rams: Break it down
the rams will try and get Jax going and use a short passing game . Honestly we shouldn't give up many points if we play like we did sunday.
