It sucks I was so happy to hire MS and now three years later we still suck and other than RG3 we literally have nothing to look forward to

Re: Skins/Panthers post game
Franchise QB is a huge piece of the puzzle. The fact that way have that taken care of is a pretty big deal.

I cant believe we lost this game. The 4th down call with no passing option was a horrible call.I heard on skins radio after the game Shanahan saying time to start evaluating players, like he's given up on the season.I know hes gonna try to win games, but I dont want my head coach coming out and saying publicly its time to start evaluating players like the seasons lost The lack of discipline on this team is horrendous, worst in the league.Theres so many things wrong with this team its depressing.

Re: Skins/Panthers post game
All i got is that right now changes need to be done going into the bye week. One of them is getting rid of Haslett, every week is the same shit (actually worse) he doesn't inspire any confidence.

Does it really matter how or why, fact is we have RG3 who is a legit franchise QB. No need to apologize for it or make excuses. How bad would it be if we didn't have him to build around going forward? |

Mike Shanahan: Rest of this season to “evaluate players” | ProFootballTalk
Mike Shanahan: Rest of this season to “evaluate players” Posted by Darin Gantt on November 4, 2012, 4:57 PM EST Getty Images Given that Redskins coach Mike Shanahan called it a “must-win,” earlier in the week, the fact his team lost to the Panthers will cause much consternation over a long bye week. It will also bring an eye toward 2013 and beyond. Shanahan admitted in his post-game press conference that the Redskins’ goals are in the future, not this season. “Now you’re playing to see who obviously is going to be on your football team for years to come,” Shanahan said, via the Washington Post. “Now we get a chance to evaluate players and see where we’re at. “Obviously, we’re not out of it statistically, but now we find out what type of character we’ve got and how guys keep on fighting through the rest of the season.” Of course, it might also be time to evaluate the coaching too. Shanahan’s a disappointing 14-27 in his third year in charge, a .341 winning percentage that’s lower than the ridiculous Jim Zorn and Steve Spurrier eras (both 12-20, .375). The fact they just drafted a franchise quarterback probably means Shanahan will have time to continue to work with Robert Griffin III, and his track record indicates that he probably should. But he works for Daniel Snyder, who hasn’t demonstrated himself to be dedicated to planning for the future.

Re: Skins/Panthers post game
He did not stake his reputation on Grossman/Beck. Pay attention to his actions, not his words. They were stop gaps.

Re: Skins/Panthers post game
Pay attention to his actions I said. Trading Doug Dutch for Beck is not staking your reputation.

Re: Skins/Panthers post game
Agreed there but saying you're staking you're rep and basically dumping a season into the crapper will never endear me to old leather face.

Re: Skins/Panthers post game
Not a good day at the office for RG3. Some poorly thrown balls and there were guys open downfield on a few plays, but he opted for dump offs. It's a passing league and throwing for 200 yards ain't gonna cut it.
