Re: Another Week...Another Season Ending Injury?

Possibly found a team with worse injury luck then us. Houston Texans.

LB - Brian Cushing - Torn ACL - Out for Season
LB - Brooks Reed - Groin - Out 3 to 4 Weeks
LB - Bradie James - Hamstring - Questionable
LB - Tim Dobbins - Shoulder - Doubtful

We need to investigate their strength and conditioning program.

We need to investigate every team's strength and conditioning program. Obviously it's a league wide collusion on the part of these strength coaches to get players injured every week.

Injuries are expected, but they shouldn't completely decimate your roster. Most of our guys are IRs too.

-- Kentwan Balmer DE (Left Squad)
48 Jordan Bernstine SS (IR)
-- Dorson Boyce FB (IR)
77 Jammal Brown OT (PUP)
94 Adam Carriker DE (IR)
83 Fred Davis TE (IR)
38 Tristan Davis RB (IR)
17 Darius Hanks WR (IR)
29 Roy Helu RB (IR)
-- Tanard Jackson FS (Susp.)
31 Brandon Meriweather SS (IR)
-- Chase Minnifield CB (IR)
95 Chris Neild NT (IR)
98 Brian Orakpo OLB (IR)

If that is just the nature of the sport and not partially a strength and conditioning issue, then I'm shocked. The only other team that has any many injuries as us the Patriots.

Good news is that with the short week we just had at least guys will have a few extra days to get ready. Not sure it offsets the damage done of 2 games in 5 days but at least it's something.

Other than Boyce, Balmer and Hanks, I'd say the rest are pretty important. We're stretched thin at safety, considering 3 of them are on IR, our hopeful rookie CB Minnifield, Neild who I was predicting to be a major player this year, 6 starters, a backup in Tristan Davis, since apparently we're running Morris on all 3 downs now instead of Royster.

However you slice it, this many people on IR hurts the team as a whole.

I'm waiting for a season where we won't have to IR more than 5-7 players.
