Opportunity for McCants?

Another thing to consider...McCants cap number this year. He'll be making far too much money to be cut before June 1. After that his release fee is 667 this year and next. It'd be nice to trade him for a bag of balls aftre June 1 but that won't happen.

Maybe Crazy Canuck can tell us how much cap space we can recover by cutting Mccants.

I'm not even sold on needing to draft a WR in the first round anymore. While nobody in the trio of Moss/Patten/Jacobs (who I believe to be our 3 best WR's) or James Thrash has ideal size, I think adding another WR to the mix is just going to makes things too crowded. I think that 9 pick could be used better on a Guard or even a pass rushing DE. Edwards/Williams are both going to be gone by 9 anyways, and I don't see another WR worthy of the 9 pick.

Man, that is a classic username! Great movie too!

Welcome to the board, and I agree completely. Wide receiver as a draft priority just took a hit, and even the fourth wideout in this offense didn't see much action. A rookie-fifth wideout will be lucky to have a spot on the team bus.
