Or, put differently, to compare him to Hitler is to insult Hitler's many victims, since Chavez did not do the same. But I am not defending him. For example, in your list above you did not mention how he cozied up to China in particularly galling ways. But let's keep things in context and not over-react. He was no Hitler.

Re: Hugo Chavez Dead
This was posted on Reddit. It was a CNN comment left by a Venezuelan and his thoughts on Hugo's death. It's powerful and pretty much sums it up about Chavez.

Re: Hugo Chavez Dead
In other words, you didn't read it like many of the other things you respond to. It's not like any internet letter.

You know, I get Lotus' point. Even though I am not saddened by his passing, I understand that Chavez was loved amongst his people, and that today a lot of people are in mourning for him. Either way, his death doesn't affect me personally.

Re: Hugo Chavez Dead
Even though a lot of it is hotwinded and banal you must read everything in detail in this forum and write a dissertation on your findings or you will be labeled as a dipstick.

Re: Hugo Chavez Dead
So why are you still here? Move along.

No, it's usually a situation where a person comments about a article they didn't read. It's much like GOAT trying to critique how players played without watching the game.
