Re: RGIII has been cleared for practice
Had he been placed on PUP list, what exactly does that entail? He can't practice with the team?

It's crazy really but it also speaks to the nature of panic fueled by the media. I remember someone on here (I honestly don't recall who) that suggested in the days after the injury that the team should "sit him out the entire 2013 season as a precaution so he's 100% for 2014". 7 months of angst and hand wringing ultimately for nothing.

Re: RGIII has been cleared for practice
Well I'll be damned.....you already knew back in March when it was first reported that RG3 was way ahead of schedule that he would be ready for the opener.......

Re: RGIII has been cleared for practice
Yeah and I think most of us will be happy if it does. I'm all for KC getting the reps in games. He's going to show how good he really is.

Re: RGIII has been cleared for practice
I say he gets a .25 of play in either the 3rd or 4th preseason game. Probably the 4th with our starting line in and the Bucs scrubs in. Just a guess.

Re: RGIII has been cleared for practice
I am torn. Part of me thinks he probably needs a quarter or two of pads and accelerated action just knock some of the rust off.
The other part of me thinks - "STFU - There is a reason coaches and trainers are paid millions of dollars. They see the guy every day. If they think he can come in with no PS work, who are you to second guess them." I pretty much listen to the "other part" although I can't wait to see him play again.

Re: RGIII has been cleared for practice
Maybe he will start game 3 when all the starters do but I doubt it

Re: RGIII has been cleared for practice
I don't think the risk/reward is worth it to have him play at all in the PS. It's not like we show much of our real offense in August so really what is he missing by not taking those few snaps?
He should get plenty of more meaningful work in during camp. |
