Re: Asterisks on Baseball Records

anyone else hear that bs that bonds was saying yesterday? what a joke, blaming the media and everyone else for his "pain" and wanting to hurt him. I will be so glad to see him fade away and not hear about his every at bat on espn. Anyone else get pissed when they kept jumping into programing to cover each of his at bats until he got past Mays? He is one of the few pro athletes I can say I loathe and root against with all my might.

He dared to insult Babe Ruth and the ghost of Ruth came back and pulled a Tonya Harding on his knee.

while I hate the guy, u can't deny what he did before he mysteriously added all of that muscle in a year or 2. didn't he win multiple mvps before 98? he's the only player to have 500 home runs and 500 stolen bases, was averaging 25-35 hrs a season, and he used to be a decent to good fielder at one time as well. I hate him as a person from some of the things he's said, I hate the way he acts like he's better than everyone else and is above reproach, and I hate how he's one of the biggest frauds in pro sports, but I can still acknowledge his accomplishments pre-huge forehead and bulging biceps.

I read on Espn that some argue Ruth should have an asterisk, because he played in a segregated game. Interesting point reagrdless of your view on Bonds.

I'm with you. We should just make football season twice as long.

Thumbs up Re: Asterisks on Baseball Records

there should'nt be an asterisk, hell dock ellis pitched a no hitter in the 70s under the influence of lsd,and there is no telling how many home runs babe ruth hit while he was drunk.

Re: Asterisks on Baseball Records

definitely does not help hand-eye, and will slow you down a click or 2...however, you will definitely hit the ball harder...
