Re: The Walking Dead (Season 4)
I think each episode has slow parts, but the action parts are INSANE. The past couple of seasons I'm like, "Where are the zombie hordes?! Why is it constantly like 3-4 of them wondering around in a field?"
Nice to see just mobs of them running around. That's what got me hooked on the series in the first place. I think The Governor coming back will make it extra intense again. I think I unfairly will think The Walking Dead will fill Breaking Bad's spot in my heart, but no way that's going to happen.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 4)
I've kinda lost my interest a bit this season. I'm sticking with it, but when you think about it nothing has really happened. People are sick and walkers keep piling up at the gates. Whoop-de-do.
The Governor should help spice things up. And hopefully by the end of this season they'll be moving out of the prison. It's time for a big shakeup again. |

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 4)
Agreed. Maybe it's my hope that eventually there will be some kind of resolution. Like, I'll be pissed if the show follows this formula: 1) OH NO! Scary zombies! 2) Whew, a new shelter 3) New characters 4) Zombies broke in, OH NO! 5) Run, find new shelter.
I can see this show going on for years since it's still being written right?

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 4)
I'd be all about this being a 6-7 season type of thing because there's only so much you can do.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 4)
Governors back baby....... aaaaaaand now he's the former antagonist that we will sympathize with because he's protecting the girl now, which creates and internal conflict about how we really feel about him and about humanity as a whole. Ultimately we will ask ourselves what we would do in the situation and it will be a reflection of how power changes all of us but now he has come back to his roots and he's sorry for his past crimes, but wait... he probably still has evil left in him so should we trust him?, he confronts rick and rick isn't sure who do believe, then his son will come in and kill him and he'll be like, "Carrrlll don't", and then the old man will say it's what had to be done and we're all living in this crazy world which is in turn a statement on society today and what we become because of the craziness around us.... and people are dying, and yatta yatta...
Yeah, I'm getting sick of this show, but I still like killing zombies.... so there's that.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 4)
I thought it was great to get another angle on the Gov. I thought it was the best episode so far this season. He definitely can't be trusted, and there's no way the prison takes him in.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 4)
It's getting a bit slow for me which is okay. I'm hoping it goes like SOA and slows down and then whams us with the unexpected.
Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing Frank Darabont's (TWD's season 1 writer) "Mob City". Hopefully some season 1 action. And the dude who plays Shane is the main character, so there's that.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 4)
So looks like the Gov is back to his old self. I guess we shouldn't be surprised.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 4)
Didn't this just happen last season? War on the prison?
I guess the prison is going to lose this time though. Good job writers.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 4)
The Gov is back, he's pissed off, and now he's got a tank.
It's about time for Rick and the gang to move on anyway. |

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 4)
Killer kids! Sucked to see Hershel eat it like he did (same way as another existing character did at this point in the books so it's kinda cool that they are incorporating them at times).

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 4)
Good mid season finale. I wasn't expecting the Gov to bite it, thought they might drag that out a little more. Typical with this show though, nothing happens for long stretches and then boom, everything goes to shit.
