Re: Redskins Free Agents Signings Thread
Do you think this will be the end for Santana Moss?
LOVE this signing but I think we still need another proven WR. Will probably be Hawkins for his return game, but I wonder if we can still afford someone like Emmanuel Sanders as a #3 WR and still fill our other holes on D and the O-line? I'm just not confident in Hankerson or Robinson.

Re: Redskins Free Agents Signings Thread
There's no tampering, it's ok to reach deals in principle, just nothing official until 4pm.

My kind of signing! He's a talented young player with plenty of upside. I'd bet that we got him at a reasonable cap number, too. Nice job Skins FO!

Re: Redskins Free Agents Signings Thread
I like the Andre Roberts acquisition as a long-term move. Can get up to four quality years out of him. There are a couple of hold backs:
-His route tree is basically redundant with Garcons, based on his best alignments and route selection. -Although he's been a good receiver each of the last two years, he's a sub 7.0 YPT guy for his career. Basically, he's going to help move the chains -- but doesn't up the quick scoring options in the offense. He was used as a deep receiver much more often in Arians' scheme this year, so at least he featured that new skill. Overall, versatile and valuable signing. But he's a poor man's no. 2/rich man's no.3.

Besides, he would be too expensive. He's going to be overpaid by some unfortunate team with a misguided FO.

Re: Redskins Free Agents Signings Thread
I think you'll be very happy with Roberts when we sign or draft a true #2 receiver. I'm betting that we added him as a "rich man's no. 3". But I could be wrong about that.

Re: Redskins Free Agents Signings Thread
At the moment, 1) Garcon 2) Hankerson 3) Roberts 4) Aldrick. But there's not a whole lot of difference between 1/2/3.
