Re: Prediction time! the Pre PreSeason Prediction thread
Here's how I see it:
WIN at Houston WIN vs Jacksonville LOSS at Philadelphia WIN vs New York Giants LOSS vs Seattle LOSS at Arizona WIN vs Tennessee WIN at Dallas WIN at Minnesota WIN vs Tampa Bay LOSS at San Francisco LOSS at Indianopolis WIN vs St. Louis WIN at New York Giants LOSS vs Philadelphia WIN vs Dallas So 10-6. Spilt with Philly and sweep Dallas (who I expect to be bad -- 5-11 bad) and the Giants (they will be 7-9 again). Of course, I predicted 11-5 last year, so....

Re: Prediction time! the Pre PreSeason Prediction thread
I can hardly believe that people are trying to pick individual regular season games. If anyone could do that he'd be a millionaire from sports betting alone.
Well, anyhow, I said we'd make the playoffs because I can't stand to say we won't. I do think we'll be better but I have no idea how much better we'll be. I look at it this way: If RGIII can stay healthy and improve his pocket passing, we'll be halfway to the playoffs because we have a lot of weapons on offense. I think we're going to score a lot of points and that will usually overcome the disadvantage of having an average defense. Also, in my mind, there is no way we could possibly play worse on ST than we did last season. That should mean that we'll generally have improved field position this season which I think could be worth a win or two in close games.

Re: Prediction time! the Pre PreSeason Prediction thread
I picked 5-8 wins.
I'm hoping to be wrong, but the question marks I have..... 1) Defense - secondary, LB, pass rush 2) RG3 - he's gotta be better than last year and the gimmicks from year 1 won't work any more- hoping he progresses in reading defenses this year 3) 1st year as head coach in NFL -I expect some mishaps (when to go for it on 4th down, when to challenge, etc.) just because things look differently when every decision falls on you I'm confident that ST will be much improved, but the bar wasn't set very high last year. I also think this team will be stronger in the 4Q than in past years. To go on record, I'll go with 8-8. Hail! |

I like the optimism Matty! Quote:
I happen to agree with Sammy's predictions pretty much to a T. Well done good sir. I do think if things go extremely right though, it could turn out 9-7.

Re: Prediction time! the Pre PreSeason Prediction thread
If we lose to Houston in week one with Ryan Fitzpatrick I might just break something.

Re: Prediction time! the Pre PreSeason Prediction thread
Lol cant believe a true skins fan would "predict" a losing season for us. Its a better roster than the last time we were a 10 win team. And why we all think were positively going to lose to the eagles week 3 is absurd that team has some flaws imo.

Re: Prediction time! the Pre PreSeason Prediction thread
I wouldn't expect any major changes regarding the running game. Gruden has said they are leaving much of the zone schemes in place. That's why Foerster is still here.

I feel like you need counseling. Let me give it a try: You hate your mother. You hate your father. You hate the Redskins. Now, sing two choruses of "Hail to the Redskins", pop a cold one, sit in a lounge chair on the veranda, and imagine how great it's going to be with a healthy RGIII making plays all over the field, Alfmo running wild, DeSean catching 70-yard bombs , nachos and beer at the stadium, the finest cheerleaders in the league, crying Cowboys fans. Life is good. Are you starting to feel better yet?

Re: Prediction time! the Pre PreSeason Prediction thread
We'll win the 3 days of scrimmages against the Pats next week
We'll sweep the 4 preseason games We'll steamroll through the 16 game regular season Breeze past our conference playoff opponents in 2 games Shut out the 1 remaining team in our Super Bowl quest We'll also be the 1 team to represent the entire NFC in the Pro Bowl Pretty obvious that we're going 27-0
