you would think why even fight the blackout decision by the FCC, but they will.

I actually know several folks have cut off the nfl over the last couple seasons and one of them is a Seahawks fan!

Yep. $1.5 BILLION to show the NFL. The NFL ain't dead yet.

I was hoping that they would do something different than giving Sunday Ticket back to Directv. Oh well. I'm not the one with the $1.5 bil. checkbook.

The NFL is fine. It's the number 1 sport in the country, and will survive all of these problems.

Re: Around the NFL: Week 5

Praise TDJ!!
Charlie Whitehurst is one handsome man, says Nashville magazine - CBSSports.com

Quote:
Thus, this shouldn't surprise you at all. Whitehurst has been named to Nashville Lifestyle's list of the top-25 most beautiful people in Nashville. Make sure you check out that link and find the photo of Whitehurst wearing a hat and doing his best Johnny Depp impression (he said that look was on purpose and, in fact, a tribute to Depp).

It's a pretty big deal, right?

"Taylor Swift is on that list," Whitehurst said, via the Tennessean. "That's all I can say. That legitimized it for me."

A fair point.

But Charlie -- and I know this is a sports website, but bear with me for a moment -- what kind of maintenance do you do on those brown locks of yours?

"It's kind of weird, there is no maintenance," Whitehurst said. "I wash it about twice a week. You don't have bed-head. You put it in a ponytail and you go. So it's virtually no maintenance, which is what people would not expect."

Unfortunately for Whitehurst, he's likely to be relegated to backup status this week as Locker is expected to return. But damn if he won't look good sitting on the bench.

LOL , It's is the number one sport in the country and pretty close the world it it's making more money than God and because of some public relation problems you think the state of the game is all his fault ,you just hate him and I know why but I like him because he won't let the inmates run wild and I like that .Mark Cuban is a spoiled brat ,until the NBA has the NFL number he needs to STFU.

Remember, Cuban is self made owner. There is a difference. And Im having a hard time understanding you g1, but im mad about numerous things with the game and not just one. The domestic abuse handling and cover up is not one im too upset about, but still an issue because Goodell dropped the ball after the Belcher incident.

Cubin is a self-made billionaire who still acts and at time talks like an idiot .
Goodell takes the heat for the owners simple as that ,you act like he is solely responsible for domestic abuse again it is a reflection of society
pretty sure it went on under Pete Rosell. What is it with the game you don't like that Rodger himself has done ?

I still say that between the DirectTV deal and the EA Sports deal the NFL is outright abusing their Anti-Trust exemption. Personally I have nothing against the Anti-Trust exemption as it insures a uniform league that attracts the best talent, but I have a huge problem with the exclusivity agreements employed by the NFL.

Granted this has nothing to do with DirectTV but it should count as a shot across the bow:
NFL must end TV blackouts or lose its antitrust exemption, Senators warn | Ars Technica

I think the Packers' receivers are going to get tired from all those Lambeau Leaps tonight.
