Well said, look up in buffalo and Detroit, too. Sure we need to add some players especially in the secondary but we a need a new voice/scheme on d for sure.

in his defense, how many secondaries have you seen with...."talent" like ours?

In what way is our secondary not talented? Amerson high draft pick. Hall highly coveted free agent in his ATL/OAK days. Clark, good safety Gibbs 2.0 and Steelers. Thomas and Breeland 4th rd draft picks.....

Our D coaches have sucked.

49ers want to interview Fangio for the HC position and don't want to lose him as DC. On another turn of events, 49ers will interview Gase and Shanahan in Denver tomorrow. Report: 49ers will meet with Mike Shanahan | CSN Bay Area

I will have to view your post largely as an attempt at jocularity?

Our safeties have been bad for years. Clark? Dude was washed up before he got here. Amerson hasn't lived up to his billing as a ballhawk. Breeland was our lone bright spot this year.

It's hardly a "no name" defense. The real joke is saying this defense has been well coached. It hasn't been.

It's not overly talented either. Coaching and talent are both issues.

Can you please point out in any of my posts where I indicated in any way that the Defensive secondary coaching staff (or any Redskins defensive staff) has done a good job.........or well coached

You made the excuse that our secondary wasn't talented. I proved that excuse wrong.

Just to clarify:
Amerson - 2nd rd pick
Breeland and Thomas - 4th round picks
Clark - proved he had talent with Steelers, didn't do a bad job here in Gibbs 2.0.
Hall - proved he had talent here and ATL.

We have a talented secondary. This is not a unit that hasn't received plenty of attention in the draft and FA, especially considering it's only one part of the D. So please don't use "talent" in our secondary as an excuse for our pathetic defense.

He made no "excuse." He made an observation. He is correct that even though Haslett coached poorly, he wasn't given many tools to work with.

Can you tell me how the safety position was solidified in talent while Haslett was here? What long-term high-caliber starters were added?

Re: Vic Fangio and other to be interviewed for Defense.

I just like to know we haven't been able to develop folks in the secondary...???

Folks this is a good example of our dysfunction. Like the arguement of talent and coaching issues on the defense...we also have problems developing a plan and scouting for corners and safeties from a personel perspective.

I'd just like to know for once what was the plan to replace Sean Taylor at free safety? This issue has been going on since 2007. Wtf!!! Why can't we solve this position?

Here are the relevant quotes:

Lotus, it absolutely was an excuse. For Morris, not Haslett BTW. And Hog1 is as entitled to his opinion as anyone. But FFS, are ppl here in complete denial about everything?

We can argue about why the secondary sucked this year, but I have shown that talent isn't the issue. We can talk about performance, but talent, pedigree, is not an issue with our secondary.

Re: Vic Fangio and other to be interviewed for Defense.

Will you please explain the importance of draft position and results on the field?
I think you will find our secondary was voted most popular with the league QB's who can chuck the rock over 50 yards. No doubt their guy would not be covered by our guy. Perhaps the coaches forgot to tell them "HEY! when that Cheetah looking dude blows by you like 80 mph.....don't forget to follow him!!! Sadly we all to often....forgot
BTW....did you see any Skins games this year? You may have noticed Hall was not in there or is that coaching as well?
Clark is at least a year or two to late....and slow. Did I ask you if you watched any Skins games this year? Jury is still out on Amerson...but I have high hopes four him.
Breeland looks like the real deal.. very happy about that. Thomas is....totally a wait and see guy as he has not been healthy long enough to evaluate.
I noticed you failed to point out the instances where I suggested the unit was well coached. Why is that?
Did we discuss the part about relationship of draft position and results on the field? Let me help:
RYAN LEAF?
AKILI SMITH?
JEMARCUS RUSSEL.....to name a few
