Good point about the run game - likely not a coincidence. I hope Licht coming back does make a difference. A better than average running game is going to be necessary if this team has any hopes of making some noise.

Home crowd better bring it.

If Kory struggles after his long layoff, the Skins can just go back to Josh. No big deal. One of them will get the job done.

I think the job Josh has done at center is generally underrated.

It's not a coincidence that the run game dropped off dramatically after Litch got hurt.

Litch will start Sunday if he's 100%
Lauvao was the much bigger impact loss at run blocking than Litch, even though Long has improved overtime this season. Look at the immediate games after Lauvo went out...staggering effect. Really good center? I don't really know about that, I think(hoping) maybe his poor play most of the season may have been a lingering injury. He's a tough guy, hope he can have the impact.

Any reason Long wouldn't be a center? I read of Long's potential at Center from a Keim article when he was drafted.

i dont know about underrated. he has snapped on the wrong count many times and his shotgun snaps are sometimes inaccurate. he hasnt completely sailed one over kirks head or been called for many penalties .... but he is the weak link on the line imo.

Man, I really questioned why they put Litch on short term IR, back then I figured playoffs at best were a long shot. But that decision looks really good now. I can't verify this but I do believe Litch has been practicing for a couple weeks now, I think that's part of the short term IR designation. If he looks fine in practice I definitely expect to see him in the game this week. If not looks like LeRib will be playing. If healthy I have no doubts Litch is better.

Everything you say may be true, yet Josh has done enough to help us win. I'm saying that his contribution is underrated by many folks. Things did not fall apart when he filled in for Kory.

The fact that they put him on short term IR speaks volumes in terms of what the coaches think of Licht, and of what the expectations were of this team.

The immediate effects of the run game happened after Litch got hurt. I will agree that Lauvao is an upgrade over Long at the moment. Litch's ability to get to the second level and combo block has been missed. He played very well till his injury, and tried to play another game with the injured shoulder, but was not effective.

If you would like to breakdown film with me, I can show you the difference and huge effect that Litch's absence has caused, but I can assure you that this week will prove that if he returns like he should.........Unless we decide to spread the ball out again and let Kirk command that offense and throw 40x. Which I think we should be doing anyhow.

Hey if I can see improvement in the run game I'm all for it. I think we need to run the ball in the playoffs, throwing 40 plus time in the playoffs could result in very quick 3 and outs...qb like Rodgers can score in bunches. The term "rhythm passer" was made for Aaron Rodgers...he is the embodiment of the term. When he gets hot....be damned Peyton, Brady, and any other qb you name. I've been encouraged by our secondary play, but we all know it's not a ton of talent when it comes to coverage. I got faith in cousins, but we need to stay balanced offensively. You can still be agressive and run the ball.

Anyone going to the game please be careful buying tickets, so you don't get ripped off.
