I have been giving this team 25 years(last SB win) whats another 3 or 4.

This offseason we lost Knighton, Hatcher and Paea on the Dline and replaced them with Hood and Kedric Golston as starters. Let me guess, a former first round bust who was cut and a 33 year old underachieving nose tackle with only 7 sacks in 10 seasons will magically turn into all pro lineman before the end of the season? Or wait, the 35 year old journeymen Cullen Jenkins will save our Dline!

Take off the rose colored glasses. Scot Mcloughan set this franchise up terribly this season.
You can only fix so many issues in an off-season.

If you haven't noticed, our Offensive personal seems to be just about finished up and ready to compete for the extended future (other than the line, which is in WAY better shape than when Scot first took over.)

The secondary seems to be massively upgraded since Scot got here as well. I'll admit we still have glaring holes at certain positions HOWEVER, we are leaps and bounds better in certain positions than before.

Give it time my friend. This is a process.

You claim going 9-7 and getting beat round 1 is nothing to get excited about yet YOUR the one clamoring we're not good enough and expecting big things THIS YEAR?

Your logic makes no sense. I'd say we have another 2 years or so until we see some REAL, tangible progress. By then IDK who the coaches will be but I can almost guarantee our roster will be better off than it was 2 years ago today.

HTTR. Have Some Faith!

And I'll say ONE more thing about football before I go back to posting sandwiches: am I frustrated about the run defense? Ab-so-fricking-lutely. I don't think Scot can solve all the problems in one off-season. I imagine next year that will be a huge emphasis. Imagine this scenario: either Garcon or Jackson walk or are released next year. Who's left? Ryan Grant? No spank you Mr. Washington.

I wish we would have taken a flyer on Billings or one of those guys left in the third, but we didn't. Hindsight always 50/50. Cravens is showing a ton of promise. We had a HUGE amount of holes and it's going to take another year of drafting at LEAST to fix them.

Now back to our regularly scheduled sandwiches:

Re: New Lipstick. Same Ole Hog

I think people are fooled by that fluke year last year. Quite truthfully, had we been in any other conference, we wouldn't have won it nor gone to the playoffs. By chance, it so happened that Romo got hurt, the Giants choked 5 games away in last 2 mins, and the Eagles sucked. Those alone had more to do with our success than anything. That and a easy schedule over teams without a positive winning percentage. Our conference is probably the only reason we'll be in it this year as well. I said all along the DL was sketchy and the fact Golston is the starting NT says it all. No pass rush. No run defense. Just hope our offense carries us.

Also, these sammiches look good.

we're heading in the right direction. i still think we can do it w gruden, he just has to commit to the run, even though our backs leave a lot to be desired.
